Journey to Winterfell, King in the North
Ten days later, Jon and his men marched towards Winterfell. More clans had come from beyond the Wall, and Jon now had a vast army of twenty thousand soldiers, men and women. Although his army had no cavalry or knights, they were nevertheless the strong and fierce people of the North. News spread throughout the North and Westeros that Jon Snow had defeated the dead and was seeking **** on the Lannisters and their allies with a vast army of wildlings, giants, and mammoths. Houses Glover, Manderley, Mormont, Wool, Dustin Rizal, Tal Hart, and several others joined Jon out of fear or loyalty to the Starks. Jon arrived at Winterfell to fight against Roose Bolton and his son Ramsay. Several houses had decided to ally with the Boltons, but now they saw Jon's large army, which had grown larger with the joining of other houses, and now included riders, archers, and knights. Jon's army was three times larger than Roose Bolton's, and despite the giants and mammoths, entering the castle seemed easy. Jon walked towards the castle with Lord Manderley, Lord Glover, Lady Mormont, Tormund, Carsey, and Samwell and shouted, "Warriors and brave men of the North, I am Jon Snow, son of Ned Stark." Winterfell and the rule of the North have always belonged to the Starks, and Roose Bolton gained it by betraying my brother Robb and allying with the Lannisters. I destroyed the Night King and the army of the dead, united the people of the North of the Wall with me, and there is no longer any enmity between us and no threat from beyond the Wall. I do not intend to fight you. Then he pointed to the mammoths and said, "I have no business entering the castle, but I do not want you to be harmed. We are all Northerners. I will decide for our own land, not the evil and corrupt Lannisters. Put down your swords and join me and hand over Roose Bolton and his son." Ramsay Bolton shot an arrow at Jon, but Jon caught it with his shield. The another families, who knew they could not fight Jon Snow, decided to ally with him. A rebellion broke out in Winterfell, and the Starks took Roose and Ramsay Bolton to Jon, and on the other hand, the families told him that Winterfell was for him. Jon crucified the Boltons as was their custom and went to Winterfell. The banners with the wolf symbol on them were raised again. Jon sat on his father's throne and called himself King in the North, telling them to send this message to King's Landing and the other lands that the North was now an independent kingdom.
