Journey to Venberk the attack part 4 (trust)

Syd decided to trust him, he could turn out to be a valuable companion, so even if his instincts wanted him to attack.

Seeing his response the rest of the caravan also seemed to relax and accept the surrender of the huge warrior, encouraged by this Syd moved closer to welcome the monstrous man.

He never noticed him swing his arm and pulverizing his head, Syd couldn't help but be confused by the sudden loss of his senses and the realization his human form was crumbling it took him several moments to finally realize what had actually happened thankfully the ork had used that time to (successfully) try and intimidate the caravan with a warcry before preparing to charge but before it could do any of that Syd extended his root through the earth and pierced the underside of the bandit lords foot pumping him with a cocktail of various potent potions, now it was the green skin's turn to be surprised, he did not fall asleep instantly like his subordinates but he found his thoughts sluggish and his body refusing to move the way he wanted, this naturally caused him to immediately lose his balance and fall but by that point, his mind was unable to properly process what had happened so he just wiggled helplessly in the ground for a few moments before finally succumbing to sleep.

Having neutralized the threat Syd quickly reassumed his human form this situation was not ideal but he could probably still lie and claim he used a substitute spell or something to that effect, of course not everybody would believe him, especially the people with information-gathering classes like Met'el but he doubted they would be able to figure out the truth of his identity just by this encounter, that said he would need to be extra careful when dealing with them from now on.

As for the Ork, it may have been unfortunate that its surrender was just a trick, still, this brief clash between them had convinced Syd of the value of the green-skin as a potential companion, as for how to get him to his side... He could keep him sedated and have Dahlia work on him once he got back to the village, alternatively, he could try to use some of his bio-alchemy skill to modify him into something more convenient, finally if was willing to risk wasting some of his xp he could try to invest in some new classes or races in hopes he would gain skills or talent that would help him tame the huge warrior...

Mulling it over Syd's decision was...
