Jonny realizes something went wrong.

Jonny noticed that the world suddenly seemed to be moving in slow motion. Jack’s body was suddenly producing a lot of adrenaline, he noted. As he looked about at the chaotic world about him, he felt a sharp pain in his gut. As he looked down, he saw that his shirt was covered in red—in blood. A puddle of the stuff had begun to form on the ground beneath him. Jonny held his hands to his stomach as the blood gushed out, and he fell limply to the ground. “Aw shit!” he thought meekly, “one of the bullets must have ricocheted and hit me,” and with that he immediately disappeared in a sudden puff of grey smoke, just another of the injured among the chaos.

Instantaneously, Jonny roared back into existence in another puff of grey-red smoke, this time on the floor of Lisa’s living room. “Lisa!” he yelled, his voice a mass of rough gargles as the blood filled his throat. He lay on the floor, coughing as another puddle of blood formed around him. “Master?” came Lisa’s worried voice as she hurried into the room in a night gown, the one that showed her chest off nicely. “OH MY GOD!” she screamed as she beheld Jonny on the floor. She ran over to him and wrapped her arms around him as she sat herself on the floor. She tried to get Jonny’s head above his heart to keep the blood from all pooling in one area. “What happened?!” she demanded as tears filled her eyes. “Plan worked, but could have worked better,” Johnny said matter of factly but clearly in pain, “this body’s got an extra hole in it, and I think that red stuff’s all supposed to be on the inside, so I think I’ve got a problem,” Jonny said as he began to shake and feel cold. “I’ll get you to a hospital,” Lisa sobbed uncontrollably, reaching for her cell phone. “Too far away,” Jonny weakly answered, “I think I’m going to need a new body in the next minute or two, so hopefully we can find some sap off the street. I don’t care who it is, but you have to go get somebody soon. I’ll get a new meat suit temporarily and fine a more permanent one in the next couple hours.”

Lisa paused for a moment. “Master,” she said through her cries, “use me.” “Wha—“ Jonny said. Lisa tried to compose herself. “Master, I want you to possess my body. It would be an honor to have you inside me until you find a more permanent host. Jump inside me and take my body to the orphanage on the other end of town. Find a body you want, and take it. No one will miss the people there, and they will be a part of your wonderful master plan if you are inside them, just like I will be if you use my body. Please! You just have to promise to come back to me!” she said, clearly hysterical. “I will,” Jonny said as he took Lisa’s hand.
