Jokes on Batman

Batman sat in the Batmobile, his mind racing at the events that just took place. Bruce never would have allowed himself in that kind of situation... He never would have removed the mask.

He pushed his foot down and the Bat mobile tore off into the night, following the road he had come in on, he had just gotten over the Arkham Bridge (The bridge connecting Arkham Island to Gotham) when suddenly there was a massive explosion and the Batmobile got sent flying off the road! Batman's head smashed into the steering wheel, the helmet protecting his head from getting cracked open, but it sent him reeling, his vision spinning.

He opened the cockpit of the car and dragged himself out and landing on the soft ground with a thud.

"Well, well, well, if it ain't the goody-two-shoes who thought he was to good for me!" Harley Quinn said standing over him, her face was twisted into a horrifying grin. "Now, now Harl, play nice with the 'Bat'" The voice came from behind Harley, Batman **** his head higher to see the new Clown of Gotham walking near, a detonator in his hand. "Wayne..." Batman said and felt Harley's foot connect with his cheek. He rolled on the ground away from her, and attempted to get onto his feet... He was wobbly, but he made it. "HARLEY!" Joker growled. "Sorry Puddin." Harley said kissing Wayne on the cheek and moving behind him.

"It's quite alright my dear, but we don't want to hurt him do we?" Joker returned the kiss and then turned his attention to Batman. "Now, Joker..." He said with a smile, for a split second, Batman thought he was calling him Joker. "This is a name I can really get behind! Batman always felt clunky and unfitting a name for a character as interesting as meeeeehehehehehehehehe!" The words turning into laughter as he spoke. "NOW!" Joker clapped his hands and suddenly looked very serious, angry even. "You..... You took everything from me." He said. "So... Everything you think you have now? Every safety blanket you clutch at night... I'm going to take it. I'm going to rip it from you, every last beloved thing will become nothing more... Then memory." Batman held his head, it was ringing, he wasn't in any position to fight. "SO! Here's the deal, you'll run around pretending to be Batman (someone you're not even worthy to think about) you'll stop crimes, and fall in love with some beautiful woman, and then I'll kill her, you, of course, won't kill me because you are just. So. Damned. Determined to _beeeeee _The Batman. You'll stick to the Coward's Code, the Caped Crusaders Commandments the Ratman's rules.... And in the end, when you're broken, your friends dead or leaving you abandoned... You'll snap and break and bend the rules to your liking until you're back where you started!" Joker did a flourish and indicated himself. "As me!" Harley laughed and moved forwards. "Bye, bye, Bat-BOY!" WHAM! Darkness then... And nothing more.
