John gets his due.

After a very short trip to the dark killing floor where he picked up some loot, John was happy to be back to Kim's room and despite his liking of the female body he was glad to see her grab quickly her skirt and blouse on her bed. A few seconds later as she was buttoning the blouse over her new breasts with some difficulty despite their relatively small size, the door of the room bursted open.

A muscular middle aged man with greying hair and wearing a kimono barged in an ran toward John. Kim interposed herself and winced as she parried the thrown fist.

"Stop dad!" she shouted.

John looked more closely.

"Daughter, what happened? You were gone very long and came back with him. I barely can feel your Ki and what did he do to your body?" he asked her.

"John, I remember very well what I promised, but we will have to inform my father for it to happen. Do I have your permission?" she asked reverently. John nodded and told her to keep it to the absolute minimum necessary. "Father, I brought shame on myself and our clan."

"What are you talking about? Isn't this boy the one you were talking about. The scarlet Witch apprentice. What did you do? You look so weak, did he defeat you?" asked her father, really concerned. He wasn't letting John out of his gaze and blocked the door with his massive muscular body.

"Quite the contrary. I was foolish and jumped to conclusions without looking further than my first impressions. He isn't a necromancer, only a mage and a warrior. The warden of the Golden Rose vouches for this, he had been stuck in a barrier full of Undead and had to fight for his life before she rescued him, it was why I felt the stench of undeath on him that day. Today I believed him my enemy and attacked him and then even once I learned what he was I tried to make him fail at a test to stop him to obtain what he desired. " she explained.

"What kind of test? What was the object of it? And how did you set him to fail it?" he asked. He looked angry, he obviously had asked very high standards of conduct of his daughter and hearing her admit failure or shameful acts was in a way a proof that he didn't raise a perfect daughter.

"I had brought him to the killing floor, but I soon realized I shouldn't have tried to kill him. He is one of Gaia's chosen and can sometimes earn rewards by accomplishing some tasks. His current one was to obtain a friendship egg, he didn't even knew what it was, only that it was asked of him in Korean. I told him that he would have to prove himself worthy to enter such a pact with our clan and I made him fight... a creature from the containment cells... " she explained.

"Kim! What creature did you set him against?!" he asked, marking each word. He was bursting with rage, thinking that his daughter would do something so insane without even consulting him.

"The... the... It was the Outsider Spawn..." she said nearly in tears.

SMACK!!!!

Her father just slapped her violently. Such a blow would have put John on the ground, but Kim stood still like only someone that trained in combat sport could. She probably had spent thousands of hours getting beaten by better fighters to get to the lvl at which she was.

"How could you be so careless? This thing is insanely dangerous, even one so young as this one. So what happened? Did you get hurt while putting it back in its cell after he forfeited the test?" he continued to interrogate her.

"No father. He defeated it, but in a last breath the beast managed a last spell. I already thought it dead and when one of the braziers exploded a piece of metal stabbed me in the chest. Despite all I did he carried me, saved my life and healed me to perfect condition. My Ki center was hit but is now restored and I will have to meditate to gather Ki again. I made him risk his life on a whim, he lost his weapon in the fight, his armor was nearly destroyed and yet he saved me. I signed a contract with him to attone for that. Here it is. " she said, handing her father a copy of it.

He read it quickly and looked at John. "These are very harsh conditions, I am surprised that you ask for money though. I would figure a young mage focused on greed. But before I even consider talking about this you will say what you did to my daughter's body." he told John on a very threatening tone of voice.

"When she said the piece of metal stabbed her chest it would be closer to the truth to say that it crushed it. The damage was extensive. I am not a great healer, but there is a creature in my kingdom, one of my subjects, a natural spirit. We joined our efforts to fix her ribcage, lung and heart. One of these healing spells pushes the body to fix itself. Probably because of continuous training she never developed much in her chest area, so because of the amount of energy we were pouring into her for her body to fix itself, it ended fixing something it considered abnormal. " said John, lying through his teeth. Kim that already believed this version of the events confirmed it.

"I thank you for saving the life of my only child. I will accept some of your requests. But I have conditions of my own. Some of the weapons we have here are heirlooms and trophies that cannot be given away, so you won't be able to take exactly what you want. Why do you need so much money? I don't think we have that much in cash available. " asked Master Moon.

"I have a way to repair my armor, which by the way cannot be replaced, being a unique artefact. But it will be costly, it would have cost less if your daughter hadn't insisted to do her best to antagonize me while we were negotiating. I will accept precious metals, gems or valuables as payment if you are lacking proper currency. I perfectly understand that some items will be off limit. The blade I had was my only weapon and I need something to defend myself and I lost a precious magic shield, so I thought I would require an off hand blade instead. " replied John.

"Let see what we can find you. Follow me. We will find your weapons and payment, then you will get your egg." concluded Master Moon.

It was now past dinner time and John texted his mother to tell her he had been invited to dinner by the family whose daughter he was tutoring in art. He even apologized for not having seen what time it was because he had turned his phone off.

The armory of this place was incredible. There were weapons of many types, but they all had a common theme. They all came from Eastern countries all over Asia. John looked, amazed at all the kinds of blades displayed in front of him. He could easily see the one that were special or magical and lost himself reading their descriptions.

He asked questions and checked which were unavailable. He knew that they couldn't refuse each of his choices or tell him everything was too important to give him. He had reduced his choices and finally settled on two things. A black steel Chinese sword and a golden dagger with a dragon pattern.

"I want to take those two, I hope it is possible." said John.

"The dagger is rare, but isn't part of the restricted list. You can have those, the life of my daughter isn't cheap." conceded Kim's father.

Black Wind : unique item.
Forged a thousand years ago, this black sword is said to have been made from a falling star that destroyed a whole region.
It is believed that the deaths attached to it are making the blade seek vengeance on its preys.
Swift: +20% move and attack speed while wielding it.
Disaster: targets getting hit by it get -50% luck for a week.
Conduit: +20% dmg when channeling magic attacks through it.
Adamant: the blade is near indestructible, doesn't rust, dull or tarnish.

Dragon Fang : legendary item.
This dagger is made of materials harvested from a Golden Dragon. It is making it a powerful magic artefact.
Spell breaker: the blade can parry spell, break magic shields or destroy runes. Effectiveness dependent on the wielder's magic skill and will power.
Ritual dagger: can be use to perform complex rituals or engrave runes or glyphs. It also can be used as a wand to cast magical attacks more efficiently than without a focus artefact.
Golden rush: +50% gold obtained from enemies killed with it, +20% from those wounded by it and killed another way.

John was happy of his choices and to have been able to get them. In the end he got most of the money and some gold for the rest. His kingdom was starting to collect some trophies too, he could barely wait to have vault in which he could gather a hoard.

The ritual to get the egg seemed long and boring to John who was used to powers working instantly just by willing it. Both Kim and him had to shed a drop of blood on each of the eggs and the spell was active. John would now be warned of any ill intent coming from Kim and vice versa. But most importantly he had accomplished his quest, even if the conditional part would only be validated the next morning.

The boost to his fighting skills and the new weapons would be great, but he wouldn't go try them out tonight. It was a true miracle that he didn't go under half health yet and he didn't want to ruin his chances for the optional objective.

He was even offered dinner before leaving, of course it didn't take him long to eat a bowl of rice with some gravy. The Moon family seemed to believe in frugality.

On his way out he did a quick stop by his kingdom, just a second to grab his bike and head back to his home.
