After another week with his 'mother' John knew more was going on than he thought. John's mother just didn't act like this, he had to fix it.
And!... It all went way to well. He went to the library so he could research without Fyra looking over his shoulder, a kind old lady that worked the front asked him what he wanted. He said reasons someone might change behavior, and she handed him what looked like an old magic tome covered in scales.
The first chapter was about body swapping. It wrote about this odd tattoo being placed on both people, they kiss, and bodies swap. The only warning was that they'd swap bodies at every kiss.
And John recognized the tattoo, a new mark on his 'mother's' calf. He had thought it was some weird bite mark but if it was this....
It was all to convenient. John took the book with him home, not trusting the library at all that just happened to work out like this.
At home he studied the book, but there wasn't much more to it. The ink was special and required blood, you did some rituals on it, matching tattoos, and than body swap on kiss.
His heart thundered, he had to find his mother, his real mother, and get her back. The only worry was where this fake was. If she already knew he knew, or if she had another plan.
