Jewelry Store

With all those potentially interesting options to choose from, John was unsure where he wanted to go next. This was when he spotted the cute girl standing outside of a jewelry shop just a bit to his left. He decided to walk in that direction. As soon as he came close to her, she made an enthusiastic attempt to lure him into the store.

"You , Sir, look just like the kind of man I could interest in our fine selection of most elegant jewelry, am I right?" She did look really cute. Cute and hot at the same time. Shortish, light brown hair, bright green eyes and a smooth face. She looked very professional in her gray blouse with the little store logo.

Since John had no clear plan of where he wanted to go, why not check out some jewelry, right? "I would be happy to take a look at the very least" John agreed and followed her into the store. There really was a wide selection, John thought. A wide selection of surprisingly expensive things. Gold and silver, Gemstones of any kind, all well made as far as he could tell. He was pretty sure that he could not afford more than maybe a hairpin at this place. Not for money at least...

"So, Are you looking for anything specific Sir? Anything I can help you find?" There was a tad of nervousness in her voice. Probably that was normal when dealing with male customers in this world, John gathered from his past experiences. After all, they must be quite rare.

"You know, I am thinking about getting something nice for my assistant. Something to reward her for a job well done, you know?" She looked perplexed at first but gathered herself quickly. "Well of course, am sure we can find something fitting. A necklace maybe?" She said and pulled out a rather plain silver necklace.

"Hmm, something more elaborate maybe?" John asked. " Well of course, Sir." she put the plain silver thing back and looked around. "Maybe something more like.. this?" She held an elegant, expensive-looking diamond necklace in her hand. John was sure he could never afford something like this. Not under normal circumstances at least.

"That does look nice" John said appreciatively. "But I am not sure... I mean it should be really something that goes with everything, you know? " She kicked into sales mode at once. "Oh not to worry Sir, you can never go wrong with diamonds. They go with everything, just as well as they go with nothing."

John raised his eyebrows "They go well with nothing, huh?" She blushed a bit, but kept on "I mean.. well yes, they do actually." John just wanted to make a little joke, but after a seconds pause she added "I.. I can demonstrate it to you, if you like"
