Jessica's story

“Where is that lazy boy!” Barry thundered.

“He’s still in class, dear,” said Jessica, wincing as he slapped her ass as she walked by, almost dropping the beer she was holding.

“Be careful there you cow, you almost dropped my beer!” Barry took a big swig.

“You should be grateful someone is willing to slap that fat ass of yours.” He gave her a leer. “With all that free use pussy out there, you need to make your man feel wanted. You’re lucky I’m such a good guy and haven’t left that fat ass and that useless son of yours. He’s 19 for Christ's sake, and still living with his mommy. Pathetic.”

“He’s in college dear and you know how expensive housing is. I just thought...We all thought it would be best for him to stay here until he gets his degree, letting him save up. He is paying rent…”

“Ha, when I was his age I couldn’t wait to get out of the house. I paid for everything myself. Why doesn’t he just get a job? I got a job, paid for my apartment, schooling, car, everything. But all he does is hold out his hand. I pay for his meals, roof over his head, the classes he takes…. Fuckin’ parasite!” Barry took another long swig of his beer.

“He does have a job.” Jessica tried to defend her son, not really knowing why she bothered. Not like Barry listened to what she had to say on the best of days, never mind when he was in a mood like this.

“Ha! Fixing computers… fitting for a nerd like him. I wonder where I went wrong. You know the Henderson’s kid was scouted? Full ride scholarship and after that, major contract. Dennis is going to be rich. Now that’s a man who has a good son. I’ve been far too soft on the kid. You know in my day...”

Jessica tuned the rest out. These rants tended to run their course and inevitably ended with some sort of insult to her or Rudy. Usually both. She should have divorced Barry a long time ago, but she’d wanted Rudy to have a home with two parents. ‘I succeeded I suppose,' she thought, ‘except the two parents were me and Miller.'

“...and another thing, that mama’s boy needs to get away from behind your skirt!”

‘At least someone is interested in being behind my skirt,’ she thought. The only action she’d gotten recently had been battery powered. Her husband was more interested in the various waitresses at his local bar, which was where she was sure he was headed after dinner and piling some more **** on her cooking and on Rudy’s perceived lack of manliness. She debated sending Rudy a text, telling him to eat out and wait until his father was gone.

“...and he’s coming out this friday to have a look at you”

She blanked. “Have a look at me?”

“I swear Jess, you get dumber every year. Yes, Harold, my boss. I’ve decided it’s time for Rudy to move out. Can’t baby him forever. And in exchange for a promotion, you’ll be his for a year. He wants another kid, though why anyone would want one… we can get out of this shithole, maybe get you fixed up a bit. I don’t know why he wants you, probably because of those birthing hips and these udders.” Barry squeezed her tits, making her wince. “So you’re to be on your best behaviour, got it? I’m not missing this chance because of you. Put on some make-up, fix up a real good meal and if he still likes what he sees I’ll get a good deal for you.” Barry leered at her. “Maybe we’d better make sure you get some practice in, in case he wants a blowjob to settle the matter. You used to be good at those, though maybe you’ve gone rusty.”

Jessica was floored. He was selling her? To that slimeball, Harold? She sat down.

“Overcome with how amazing I am huh,” Barry grinned. “To think that you were worth something after all. With that new job we’re headed to the good life. No more kid, no more shitty little apartment. Just you and me Jess. Don’t worry that empty little head of yours about anything.”

He sniffed. “What’s that smell? Goddamnit, you dumb whore. You burned dinner!” Jessica woke up from her daze, running to the kitchen. “Forget it, I’ll eat at Wingsluts. This better not happen on Friday!” Barry stormed out, leaving her with the mess.

“This is the stuff of nightmares” Jessica sniffed during her Skype call with Melissa. “Go ahead, say I told you so.”

Melissa shook her head. “There will be plenty of time for that later, after we fix this for you. I haven’t seen you in ages, and I’m so glad you called. Even if it is an emergency.”

“I just don’t know what to do, and to throw Rudy out of the house... I could live with Harold pawing all over me and… ugh,” she shuddered, “impregnating me, but what is he going to do? This isn’t the sixties, there are no jobs that pay for college, a home, a car and God knows what else!”

“Well…,” Melissa said, “he’d easily be able to do so here in Queen’s River. Rudy could get an Alpha scholarship here. And he’d get a much better education here then he would at the community college he's at now.”

Jessica looked thoughtful. “But where would he live? I suppose in the dorms he’d be better off then with us here.” Jessica sighed. “That just leaves me.”

“No, you’re not getting me Jessica. I’m saying your whole family should move here. With Rudy being the eldest son, he’d become the Alpha. He’d be in charge, you’d never be bothered by that asshole ever again! And with property prices being what they are, you could buy a really nice place here with the proceeds of your place.”

Jessica laughed. “And how the hell am I ever going to convince Barry to move to an OZ?”

Melissa smiled mysteriously. “Rebekah is actually going to be in Washington tomorrow, attending a conference, and giving a lecture.”

“She always did have the biggest brain of all of us.”

“Why don’t you two meet up? You can get to Washington right? I think it’s half an hour drive from where you live.”

“Something like that. It’d be good to see her again.”

“She has the solution to your problem. Trust me. By the end of this week, before Harold can even think of putting those gross ancient hands on that magnificent body of yours, you’ll be in Queen’s River. We’ll put you up at the guesthouse at first.”

“I… I don’t know.”

“Meet with Rebekah, let her tell you the plan. Trust me, it’ll work.”

“Living in an OZ…” Jessica said thoughtfully. “I don’t know if Rudy is cut out to be an Alpha” she began slowly. “Barry has been such an asshole to him all these years… really destroyed any confidence he might have had. I’m worried he’ll let the other Alpha’s walk all over him. And….”

“We can help with that too, boost his confidence a little. He can hang out with our boys, they’re nice, they’ll show him what’s what. I’ve seen pictures of Rudy and he is a cutie. Smart too. And for your other concern…," Melissa grinned. "Something tells me he knows exactly how hot a mother he has. Move here and you’ll get more action then you’ve ever gotten” Melissa laughed as Jessica blushed.

“He won’t want an old woman like me with a fat ass…”

Melissa looked serious for a moment. “That’s Barry talking. Take it from me, Rudy will be all over you. If he hasn’t knocked you up before the year is out I’ll eat my…. Well, I’ll eat whatever you want.” She winked and Jessica laughed.

“Okay okay, I give. I’ll call Rebekah and hear about this wonderful plan of yours. But it better work!”

“It will. It worked for us.”
