Chapter 4 by CaptainKitty CaptainKitty

But who is the unsuspecting victim?

Jenny Nicholson ends up in a science fiction world

To try to protect the unwary from the wardrobe's fell powers, it was hacked to pieces. But artifacts like this don't end up destroyed so easily. Fate stirred, leading the tattered planks and doors to end up in a junkyard; from there a cheap local contractor pilfered it in order to save some money on the fittings in a new apartment block he was working on. And in apartment 7B, the wood from the wardrobe ended up, fittingly, in the doorway of the walk-in wardrobe. The doorframe was made out of the salvaged frame; the door itself one of the wardrobe's two, stripped down and varnished and painted white.

Some time later...

Jenny Nicholson was riding high. She'd somehow made a career out of her passions, talking about theme parks and Disney and Marvel on Youtube, and subscribers paying her to do it! She'd won them over with her endearingly unique voice, dry sense of humour, and pale expressive face; and overall was riding high on life. She'd even managed to afford to upgrade her apartment, moving into her new home: apartment 7B. It had taken a few days to move in, especially when she accounted for the many boxes of plushes.

But eventually she had all the boxes in at least, and could begin to unpack. It was a chilly autumn day, and so she was in black jeans and a tight, but cosy, grey turtleneck sweater, her light brown hair cascading down her shoulders and back. But somehow it felt warm near the walk-in wardrobe. Strange. It was an odd heat too, like nothing she'd ever felt before, almost an... industrial heat?

Shrugging it off, Jenny hummed to herself as she hung up a dress in the wardrobe, turning and making to walk out back into the bedroom, which she could clearly see ahead of herself.

She crossed the threshold of the wardrobe, and suddenly flinched. Jenny was on a walkway of dark black-blue polished metal, hanging in a seemingly endless hangar. She looked up, her eyes going wide as she saw spacecraft maneuvering in from the void of space, docking with long protruding walkways.

Something jostled her from behind, and Jenny stumbled forwards. "H-Hey!" she cried out croakily, turning to see who had pushed her. Her jaw dropped as she saw the bustling pedestrian, who was now paying her no mind. It was a tall muscular 10' green thing with four arms and seemingly horns on its head. It wasn't just a spaceport, it was an alien spaceport! "Oh... oh wow..."

A mixture of fear and curiosity filled Jenny. She was in nerd heaven. But also she was seemingly in a completely alien place, and who even knew if it was safe? What to do? But the question was answered for her, as she turned to where she'd come, and could find no way back. She looked over the railing, seeing the space station she was on hung in the deep void of space, no planets nearby to be seen. Well... she had to find a way back, and now it seemed she was obligated to at least see some of this place.

So where should she go to try to get out of here?
