Jenassa rushes to Nyx’s aid

As Nyx laid sobbing, the fairy servant rushed to Nyx’s side as she wrapped her arms around Nyx. “Oh my gods, Nyx,” Jenassa said “W-what happened?”

Nyx sobbed unable to answer. Jenassa pulled Nyx into a hug, cradling her closely. Nyx sobbed unable to even speak. “L-leave me,” Nyx whispered.

“W-what?” Jenassa said.

“Y-you need to, Jen,” Nyx whispered. “I-if you’re c-caught with me. Isabella will **** you. P-please. D-don’t talk to me. D-don’t help me. Jen, please. I can’t. I can’t let you get hurt.”

Jenassa felt tears forming in her eyes and shook her head. “No,” Jenassa said. “I’m not leaving you. I’m not. I love you, Nyx. I don’t care what she does to me. I’m staying with you because I love you.”

Nyx shook her head as Jenassa cried. “M-my love,” Nyx whispered. “P-please. Save yourself. Jen, I love you too. But you can’t. Leave me, Jen. Please.”

“No,” Jenassa said firmly. “I’m. Not. Leaving.”

Jenassa kissed Nyx on the lips, passionately leading Nyx to her bed. Nyx reciprocated and kissed her back but shook her head. “No,” Nyx said. “You stubborn bitch, you need to leave me. Don’t ever speak to me again. Don’t even look at me. Jen, please.”

Jenassa shook her head. “Get it through your dumb skull, Nyxella. I’m not leaving you,” Jenassa said, kissing Nyx again. “I don’t care what happens to me.”

Nyx sighed. “I guess I can’t persuade you to change your mind,” she said.

“Never,” Jenassa said.

Nyx rested her head on Jenassa’s shoulder as they sat together. “So do you have a crush on me or something?” Nyx grinned.

“Of course, you dork,” Jenassa laughed as she kissed Nyx’s temple. “I love you. I’m not leaving you. Not ever.”

Nyx nodded and looked down at the ground. “I can’t believe that all happened,” she said. “E-everyone s-saw me... n-naked. Dancing. T-they all l-laughed. Not a like funny joke laugh but... like they were loving seeing my humiliation. A-and now... I d-don’t even have rags.”

Jenassa teared up again. “I’m so sorry,” she said. “I can’t believe that happened to you. I knew they were planning something, b-but this? It’s horrible. I-it reminds me of when Isabella clipped my wings. Said that they were in the way. So she just cut them off. I still have the back scars from them.”

“Y-you had wings?” Nyx gasped. “I never knew.”

“I-it was before you became a jester,” Jenassa said. “But yeah, I had wings. I’m a fairy, Nyx. We all have them. But Isabella cut them off of me.”

“Can you fly without them?” Nyx asked.

“No,” Jenassa said. “No fairy can. Not unless you’re a fairy godmother or godfather. But those are rare nowadays.”

Nyx wrapped her arms around Jenassa. “I’m sorry.”

Jenassa shook her head as she wrapped her arms tightly around Nyx.
