Chapter 5 by gothamalleyviper gothamalleyviper

Where is Jane's place in all of this?

Jane's another bland worker in need of some fashion

Jane’s smile faded as she looked around and notice how bland and drab everyone looked. It was like they were all wearing the same boring long skirt suit in dull browns and tans. Jane looked in the list of rules on her phone and spotted the ones about fashion.

“This won’t do,” Jane mumbled as she read the rules.

Corporations have strict dress codes to prevent infighting among employees.

In public conservative dress is the default fashion.

The more powerful an individual the stricter they are held to these standards.

The first and last made a lot of sense to Jane, didn’t want fighting over who has the better pair of shoes or something like that… but everyone looked so dull. Even the daughter that had ordered before her seemed to be like she was in a 1950’s propaganda model school student costume.

Jane thought for a moment to before she had been in this world. Jane had always found Goth chicks to be hot. In particular the ones that dressed in fetish, Victorian, steampunk and mixes of the three themes were really hot.

Jane thought about how to rewrite the rule.

Leather, Latex, fetish Goth, Victorian Goth and Steampunk Goth are the norms for fashion and more powerful the woman the sexier their version of their social uniform is.

Jane hit enter and blinked. She looked back at the woman and her daughter as they stepped forward to get their drinks. The Barista behind the counter was now wearing a black and white vinyl maid dress. The daughter was wearing a black and pink plaid mini-kilt skirt and socks, white latex leggings, black mary janes, a white blouse and a black velvet jacket. The mother was wearing a very sexy fetish power suit; black heeled boots with silver buckles and spurs, smoke seemed latex thigh highs, a micro-mini black leather bustle skirt, a black vinyl corset, a white latex blouse, a black leather jacket with a crest pin on the lapel, and a small black veiled mini-top hat. Jane had to admit the woman looked stunning with her subtle but dark makeup. Jane looked at some of the other women in the shop. Most were wearing much less stunning outfits. A group of ladies were sitting together in matching black and red pencil vinyl skirt suits. Jane took a moment to look at her own outfit. She was perched on grey leather granny boots, white thigh highs, a grey leather knee long pencil skirt, a grey leather underbust corset, a pink satin blouse, a grey leather blazer, a pink leather Sam Braun belt with shoulder strap and a pink leather purse attacked to her belt.

“Jane,” the Barista called.

Jane stepped forward and stuck her phone in her purse. Her hand brushed against an ID card.

Where is Jane's office?
