City Hall it seems

Jane looked at her ID card. It was a company hanging ID card. It noted a street address and an office number. It also stated she was a member of the city government. That would explain her leather as opposed to the lower status women in their vinyl. But she clearly hadn’t warranted wearing latex like the woman and her daughter. Jane stepped forward and grabbed her drink from the Barista and smiled. Stepping out of the coffee shop she spotted a pair of police in similar leather outfits. But their boots, leggings and coat were in a green leather and they had hand cuffs and holstered pistols on their belts as well as their purses. The more senior of the two frowned at Jane.

“You should hurry up, I shouldn’t have to remind you that public servants are not to be late,” She said sharply.

“Yes ma’am,” Jane found herself saying automatically.

Jane found herself rushing towards the address, instinctively she seemed to know it was a few blocks over. She walked in a side door and automatically pulled out her ID card and held it up for the police officer next to the stairwell. She smiled as she walked past the security checkpoint. Jane went to the fourth floor like she had done it for years. She walked up to the desk of the secretary and put her coffee in a familiar place. She stuck her ID card into a slot on the keyboard and logged in. A notice came up stating that she had clocked in for the day. The door opened again and in walked a gorgeous blonde in a grey and pink suit like hers but made from leather and latex. She smiled as she walked past.

“Jane, you still buying your coffee from that local shop?” the Blonde noted, “You work for a Baroness now. I would make you a Baronetess and my wife if I could, you can get the best coffee in the city for free.”

Jane looked at the woman in front of her.

“I knew hiring you to be my secretary would be the best and worst idea I ever had,” the blonde smiled, “Such a good young woman, I fell in love with you and ended up with the endless frustration of not being able to marry my secretary.”
