Chapter 122 by amon_Baal amon_Baal

Meeting the other guests

Jan waiting for Gen

Kay came over to Jan as Kaya guided Steve through the crowd. She smiled at the human as she approached. “I heard some interesting sounds from next door, which drew interest from some of our guests,” Kaya said with a smile.

Jan could not help but blush, “Maybe,” she replied.

Koax, who was within earshot, laughed, “I am somewhat impressed that your neighbours can slough off the baggage of their cultural oppression so easily.”

Jan turned to look at Koax, “Slough off their cultural oppression? Where did that come from?”

Tytha smiled, “Koax is a Filantre, it means, ‘one who thinks too much’ to be directly translated. A better translation would be ‘Someone who thinks about stuff too much.”

Jan smiled, “We call them philosophers. People who live by thinking about how to think to lack a better way of explaining it. It means someone who thinks, or seeks thinking.”

Koax smiled, “I don’t think Filantre has such a pleasant meaning in our language, so I like this. Is there jobs for these phylosophers?”

Jan smiled, “Try talking to the local college or university. There are jobs available, but they aren’t really job-ready skills.”

As she finished her sentence, a woman wearing a loose-fitting leather garb approached her. “I am Kylar, a pleasure to meet you,” she said as she extended a hand. Jan took her hand and gave it a shake, “I just left your husband. I thought I might be too forward if I propositioned him so soon.”

Jan laughed and pointed, “I think someone just stole him away,” she said as she saw a petite green woman with bright red hair grabbing at Steve’s crotch.

Kylar looked in the direction of Steve and tilted her head, “There will be time, I am sure.”

Jan smiled as a man with similar features as Kylar joined them. “Yarrow,” he said in a deep and honey-filled voice.

“Jan,” she responded, taking his hand, suddenly blushing because she realised she was naked. It did not really matter, so was Kay, except for some jewellery, so was Tytha and Koax. But suddenly, she felt self-conscious about being naked.

Yarrow laughed, “I know, I think there is only one human woman here, and Kay did tell us of her neighbours.”

For some reason, that made Jan’s blush deepen. “Well,” she coughed uncomfortably, “I’m glad I am known.”

“Excuse me,” Kay suddenly said and turned away to walk in the direction of Gen.

Jan’s sudden panic must have shown on her face, “Don’t worry,” Koax said, “Deer folk don’t bite, and I only bite when asked.” He kissed her neck, and Jan felt a shiver run through her, her nipples hardened, and her skin broke out in goose flesh.

Kylar smiled at her discomfort. “Koax, Tytha, would you like to take Jan somewhere to ensure she is comfortable? I am sure Yarrow would appreciate it.”

Yarrow ran one hand down Jan’s side. In that simple motion, he communicated his lust, desire, and drive. Jan licked her lips as Koax said, “I think we should not crowd the newcomers, so maybe Tytha and I should see if Kay or Gen need help hosting.”

As Kaylar started to guide Jan away from the group, she looked back at Koax, who shot her a wink. The action struck her as odd, and it didn’t seem to mean what a wink means typically. The two deer folk guided Jan away from the crowd and into the backyard corner.

Alone, with the deer folk.
