Chapter 21 by amon_Baal amon_Baal

That night?

Jan heads out with Gen and Kay as Steve stays in with Kaya.

Late in the afternoon, Jan got dressed a little more nicely for going out. “You remember you are going camping, right?” Steve asked.

She shot him a look, “Remember it was you who suggested that I go on a date with our neighbours who are centaurs?”

Steve laughed, “I think we are both intimately aware of their physiology, dear. My point is, it won’t be comfortable wearing chiffon in the woods.”

“It’s not chiffon, it’s organza, and I know, but if I’m going on a date, I’m going to look nice, damn it,” she protested.

Steve laughed. “Well, I hope you have a fantastic time and meet lots of new and interesting people.”

She turned away from her mirror to look straight at him, “You know if I do anything with Gen or Kay, well, there are no tents.”

Steve nodded, “And honestly, I think that’s a turn on to me.”

“It’s a turn on to you that your fiancé may fuck your neighbours at a camp out with a bunch of strangers?” she asked.

Steve shrugged, “You have to admit it’s hot. Aren’t you excited about Kaya coming over tonight?” he asked.

“That’s not the point,” she pouted.

Steve smiled as a knock came at the door. “I’ll get it. It’s probably Kaya.”

He went downstairs and opened the door to see all three centaurs at the door. “Come in, please,” he said. “Your dates are here, dear,” he called out gleefully.

Kaya leaned in and kissed Steve, she was wearing a light top, and he could see dark lines under it. “Hi,” she said.

“Hi,” Steve then looked towards Kay and blushed.

The older centaur stepped forward and gave him a chaste kiss, “No need to be embarrassed. I am glad my daughter has found someone who takes her interest.

Steve cleared his throat, “Well, Jan is almost ready,” he fumbled as the trio walked into the house. Gen somewhat struggling with his impressive figure.

“You have a nice house, daughter, be careful, there isn’t as much room here as in our home, and I don’t want you breaking anything,” Gen said.

Kaya looked toward Steve and he felt there was a message in her gaze that he did not understand. Fortunately, Jan started down the stairs greeting the three as she came. “Kay, Gen, Kaya, welcome,” she said.

Gen stared at her for a long moment as Kay said, “I think Gen wishes to compliment you on your look, but I feel I should ask, why are you wearing such pleasant clothes?”

Jan stopped halfway down the stairs, “Because we are going to a formal celebration,” she said.

Kay and Gen exchanged looks, “I am sorry we were not clear. Our Godson is an orc, their formal events, as not so, well, dressed up,” Kay tried to explain.

“So I should put on some jeans and a shirt?” Jan asked.

Gen smiled, “You can wear whatever you like for the ride there, but orcs' formal events tend to have few clothes and more paint.”

Jan blinked several times, “Paint?” she asked, “Wait, ride? Why not drive?”

Gen laughed again, “If you have a car that can fit two full-grown centaurs, we will drive. Otherwise, you can sit on my back.”

Jan looked towards Steve, “You owe me,” she kidded.

“You’ll have fun,” he promised. “Enjoy yourself.

Jan turned around to get changed.

After they leave?
