James is first

Before you have time for second thoughts the door opens and James wanders in.

James : "What's up with the weird door?"

He says before he sees the three unfamiliar faces.

James : "Oh, you all must be Alex's new friends. Nice to meet you, I'm James."

He really didn't recognize you. For a moment you don't know how to respond and he doesn't know what's going on so an awkward silence extends until he breaks it.

James : "Where is Alex?"

The shock of the situation is wearing off a little bit but you still don't know exactly how to navigate the reveal. There may not actually be an elegant way to inform your former friend that you now have modest tits and go by Alexis but you resolve to do your best at the same time that Sammy attempts to salvage the conversation.

Sammy : "Hi, I'm Samantha. Alexis is him, er... her..."

She's pointing to you.

Sammy : "She is.. was.. him, Alex"

James looks like he's trying to understand how a mental asylum had opened up at your previous address. Sammy's attempts at explanation was inelegant but you found it easier to clarify what she meant than come up with your own explanation.

Alexis : "What she's trying to say is that I am, or was Alex. I've, uh, made some changes. I go by Alexis now... "

He stares at you for what feels like an eternity. At first he seems to just be trying to understand your confusing sentence and then looks closer. Finally his eyes go wide in recognition.

James : "Alex... I mean Alexis. It's uh... I'm uh..."

He seems to catch himself after seeing your worried expression.

James : "I mean great, if this makes you happy I'm on board dude, or uh, dudette?"

Alexis : "so you don't think I'm a freak?"

James : "No! It's just surprising. Actually I, uh..."

He seemed about to say something and then thought better of it before changing the subject.

James : "so you're Samantha and Alexis"

He says indicating Sammy and you and then turns to the tall woman in business attire that you now notice does seem kind of out of place.

Cerve : "hello James, I'm Cerve, it's nice to meet you."
