Jake's an 80's baby.

He couldn't help it. The thought just came to him.

Sam stared at him in disbelief. "Jesus Christ, Jake. The Stay-Puft man?"

They both collapsed with laughter. Sam was wiping her eyes while Jake gasped for breath. "I'm sorry! It made me think of Ghostbusters!"

She was a little relieved that they managed to cut the sexual tension. She didn't want to do something they'd regret - it would probably be taking advantage of her condition. She couldn't live with herself if-

"Dammit, Jake! Enough with the self-flagellation! You're flagellating me too!"

"I'm sorry, Sam. You know, there's not exactly a manual for this kind of thing." She had been too hard on him. He was doing his best.

She sat down on the sofa. This whole thing was so overwhelming. She wanted to cry. He sat down next to her and she leaned over and sobbed into his shoulder. She felt strong, and good. She knew she was doing the right thing in spite of all the temptations. She whimpered a little. "Jake?"

"Yeah?" he was stroking her hair softly.

"I kinda wanna... give in to it. Just for a little while."

"Hmm?"

She snuggled up closer to him. "Ever since we figured out what's going on, I've been fighting it. Analyzing it. Questioning every thought that pops into my head." She sighed, getting worried and a little turned on. She realized what the implications were. Or maybe he realized. It didn't matter.

Still, he asked. "But what if..."

She followed his train of thought. "I don't care. We can worry about that later. I'm just so damn tired. Just let me give in." She sat up and looked him in the eye. "Let me be you for a while."
