Jade needs time to think about it
“Ron, this is not an easy thing. I really want to make this up to you, but I need some time to think about it, OK?” Her lower lip trembled a bit as she spoke, as if she was on the verge of tears.
“Of course, of course,” I said. “It's not like anything is going to change in the meantime. My life is pretty stuck in this rut you pushed me into.” I was laying the guilt on thick.
“Yeah, I... I know. I'm sorry. I'm gonna head home. We'll talk later... after I've had time to think.”
With that, she stood up and left my room. Shortly after, I heard the apartment door open, then close again. I was tempted – very tempted – to call her up and order her to come back and do something about the hard-on that was begging for attention under my blanket. But I was committed to making Jade think this was all her doing. Even if it meant I was left with only my hand for another night.
