Who are we?
Jacob Reizenstein, Male, very butch/Ashley Jones, Male(?), quite effeminate (TTT branch)
Author’s note: Hey folks, this is Whysper, figured I should introduce myself and let y’all in on the themes and kinks I’ll be exploring in this particular branch so as to establish expectations. I’ve been writing here at CHYOA for a few years now and my general focus has been first person maledom, often incorporating mind control elements. My protagonists are by and large alpha or sigma males, and what I’m doing here will be no different (which may be outside the expectations of those reading this particular story). I do cohesive, non-branching narratives, and can’t be bothered to put polls in (mainly because the characters usually don’t give a shit and are going to do what they want to regardless of how I direct them).
That said, what we’ll be delving into here essentially inverts the entire story. With the permission of adventurousTNB, I’ve workshopped the idea of what would happen if the POV character was, while willing to volunteer, the dominant partner in a hypnotic relationship. To this end I’ve attempted to pad out some of the amazing world building that adventurousTNB has done, grounding it as closely to our reality as possible, while still allowing for the major difference. I’ll cite real world events, while also tying fictional elements into them, expand upon real life hypnosis techniques and theory (my own pedigree in this being that I actually worked as a stage hypnotist for a couple years), and mention real life people and places.
Ultimately this branch is going to explore kinks involving (voluntary) feminization, sissy chastity, transgender transition, (mostly) gentle D/s, orgasm denial, and Daddy/sissy/boi/gurl play. And of course mind control. Above and beyond all else this is a (massively) twisted love story. Things will be slow burn at first and I’m a wordy SOB so some of the prose may be a bit flowery.
If you’re still reading this, thank you. And a huge thank you to adventurousTNB for letting me play in their sandbox. I hope you have as much fun reading this as I’m having writing it.

It was all Bandler’s fault.
See, the public perception of hypnosis has always been that of a pseudoscience, nearly bordering on magic. Even with the great pioneers, the ones who really tried to look under the hood, guys like Braid and Erikson, it was always just a step away from a sideshow performance. Yeah, there was definite possibility to help with therapy, but it was always assumed that the hypnosis part of it was just set dressing, giving clients a loophole to confess their real problems without implicating themselves in something they were ashamed of. In other words, most of the scientific community thought it was bullshit.
Then in 1986, James Marino shot his ex, Corine Ann Christensen in the face with a .357 magnum.
The revolver was registered to Richard Bandler, one of the creators of neurolinguistic programming, a close friend of Marino’s and a student of Erikson. Bandler was initially acquitted of Christensen’s murder, although he had admitted to being present when it occurred, placing the blame on his coke dealer buddy. The truth only came out during his testimony at Marino’s trial.
Marino pulled the trigger, but Bandler had placed the gun in his hand. He had also placed the thought in his head. Bandler was the first citizen of the United States to be sentenced to prison for the crime of Murder by Mind Control, and it threw both the legal system and the psychology community into an uproar. New legislations were passed almost overnight. Ronald Regan signed Executive Order 12591-C creating and endowing the Federal Mind Control Bureau with the mandate of regulating the public use of hypnosis, NLP, and pharmaceutical mind controlling substances (which pissed of the DEA and FDA to no end). Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell howled from their pulpits about the satanic influence of what they termed Devil Mesmerism, coming together with the Satanic Panic of the 80s, and stacking the works of Copeland and Weitzenhoffer on top of those by LaVey and Gygax in their book burning bonfires.
The 90s brought Big Bush and the first Gulf War, which swept away the fear of the Devil and replaced it with the fear of the Arab, the Republican Party always manufacturing a new Adversary to keep the people afraid and compliant, The 90s also brought with it a 51 day siege of a religious compound in Waco, Texas by the ATF, the FBI, and the FMCB. It was the FMCB that really lit the match on that powder keg, brought in because of ATF fears that brainwashing was one of the primary tools utilized by David Koresh.
It was a valid fear, but members of all three Alphabet Soup agencies dropped the ball, or in this case, the match, and Mount Carmel burned as a result. The fallout of that particular clusterfuck had the ATF folded into the FBI as a division, and also gave the FMCB a big black eye. The Bureau was gutted by Congress, and since no one could figure out exactly what to do with it, it sat on a shelf gathering dust until Bush left office. When the Clinton administration came about and the country suddenly had the cool guy with the shades and the sax in office, the nation finally let its collective hair down, and as always happens when that occurs, people began to get freaky.
The FMCB was reorganized, massively downsized, and parceled out to the rest of the Alphabet Soup, brainwashing specialists going to the FBI, drug specialists to the DEA, and what remained of the hypnosis specialists (after the CIA scooped up most of them) were remanded to the custody of the CDC for some reason that no one was ever really sure about, and these days is simply called The Hypnosis and Mental Health Administration (or on the darker side of the internet The Thought Police), reorganized to focus on therapeutic aspects of hypnosis, with measures built in to accommodate for fetishism, with informed consent being the watchword.
The government really got a bloody nose in 2001 when the MKUltra docs were declassified and the general public became aware that not only were they in the know about brain tangling before the Bandler affair, the CIA actually had their own PsiOps team of mindbenders and had for decades, with there even being a handful of tin hats who were sure that the Kennedy Assassination had been managed by mind controllers. Of course, this was 2001, and just a few months later in September no one cared anymore. Dubya took a page from Daddy and manufactured a war in the Middle East. War is a useful thing for distracting people, and little Georgie desperately wanted to distract people from the fact that his Papa was the Director of the CIA for a good chunk of MKUltra, as well as the man who rubber stamped an order for supplying and training a certain Saudi extremist to fight off the Ruskies in Afghanistan.
I was born with Little Bush in office and Gulf War II: Electric Boogaloo in progress, and hypno-fetishism was only slightly more acceptable than foot fetishism (which is gross), but still less acceptable than homosexuality (which is perfectly natural but still marginalized by a bunch of bigots who believe that they have the right to restrict who fucks who).
I knew from a pretty early age that I liked boys and girls about the same.
I met Ash Jones in middle school and we hit it off immediately. I was always a pretty big guy, built more like an angry wall of meat than most of the guys who swung my way, and though I never played ball, I did lift, benching 175 in 9th grade. Ash never lifted more than a pen, skinny little fella that he was, and his mannerisms, which were far more girly than was probably good for him, often made him a target for the bigger guys and even girls. We met when one of the jocks, a real meathead by the name of Stu Gorsack, decided to beat on what he saw as a puny little bitch. I intervened and ended up in detention for breaking his nose. Ash and I were pretty much inseparable from that point on.
Ash was adorable, in a sort of girly femboy way, with high cheekbones and pale blonde hair that he wore way longer than was fashionable for boys almost always falling over his bright blue slightly too wide eyes. We never hooked up, although I probably would have if he’d ever asked and I was single. He had something of a brooding nature, and was usually quiet unless there was something important to say, often prone to day dreaming or even outright disassociating, which contrasted rather heavily with my own affability and social butterfly tendencies. Despite our differences we shared a lot of common ground, both of us loving genre fiction, old comic books, and video games. And it turned out we both shared the hypnokink, though neither of us admitted to it until we were well out of high school and into our second year as roommates in college. We both majored in psych, I didn’t know his reason, but he often talked about helping people with gender identity issues (which I was just a little too blockheaded to realize might have said something about him). My own reason was less… honorable.
As a child I needed to know how things worked. So I took them apart. I learned early on that my parents were enthusiastically supportive of me disassembling the toaster, but when it came to the neighbor’s cat it was another story. That was what first landed me on a therapist’s couch, and the experience was a revelation. It was also probably what saved me from a future as a serial killer, redirecting my obsessive drive from the physical to the mental. After all, I could learn how the human body worked from an encyclopedia and an A&P course in college. Learning how the mind worked…
When Ash said he thought he was ready, well… Ash is a gentle soul. What harm could it do?
