Chapter 4 by Shadondrake Shadondrake

Who?

Jackson, A genuine pervert.

Jackson wasn't a bad guy, a pervert sure, but he would never hurt anyone. He didn't really like doing anything that would make him a creep, but still he still thought skimpy outfits and lap dances and all that would be nice.

Jack worked a job as a programmer and writer for a game developer studio, well a subcontractor anyways, he helped with developing lots of the side information and extra info, get commission too.

His hobby? Finding old relics, history and mythology was always so cool, especially after learning some of those myths might have been real, what with Themyscira and Amazons, not just Wonder Woman but the others too.

Whether they be some old horseshoe from an expedition, or a replica from Ancient Macedonia, you just cared about what it represented. And so here he was, looking through an antique store, looking at different items they are selling, things from Ireland, France, Japan, Korea, to the Philippines. You also tried to understand what he bought as well, to try and respect the culture.

One item caught his attention, a Incense bowl, due to the patterns Jack figured it was sourced in Ancient Greece, or at least designed with that theme in mind. He approached the cashier of the antique store, that's when the supers fighting caused an Earthquake.

"Shit" you cursed as the item slipped from you hand, the ceramic shattering on the ground, you and the cashier just looked at the smashed item. A couple other items fell down behind you as well, some breaking as well.

"Oh no! No no nonononono!" The cashier said, looking at what had been destroyed. He was really panicked at the item being damaged. "I really hope that guy was lying."

"What do you mean, was this cursed or something!?" Jack asked, knowing if the classic trope were standing, these were usually possessions of other people. He just saw the cashier sweep up some pieces before bring them to a station behind the countertop.

"If what that guy said was real, this bowl was tied to Kassandra of Troy." He said, looking at the item with a magnifying lens, he continued "Do you know the name, or do you need a rundown?"

"Ya, I know her, she was like the Oracle, blessed with the power of Prophesy, but cursed to never be believed." Jack said, remembering things from his research on Greek mythology.

"Well, the guy who sold this claimed that the bowl could somehow increase creativity and productivity. But he said that if someone damaged it, they'd be cursed similar to Kassandra, their ideas robbed from them, never to be believed." He said, his face fraught with worry as he looked at Jack.

"I really hope it's a fake then." to which the worst possible response was said, "This definitely looks real."

Jackson was definitely believing the curse was real, and for a week he felt like his life would suck entirely. He came up with a side character concept, his colleague gets the credit. He try to propose a solution to a bug that's appearing, his boss claims to have come up with it and everyone believed him. He felt lucky that he wasn't being harassed for not completing his workload. It seemed like only his 'ideas' would be stolen, actual work or effort didn't get taken.

But then he tried to save a project he proposed. Saying "I think it might be a good idea for me to lead this development, you guys said I needed to have more responsibilities." and instead your colleague gave the idea that Jack should run the project.

That's when Jack realized wording definitely mattered, and so he experimented, tested how wording could influence people. And found some interesting rules.

If he said an idea, it would be stolen, but those who stole it would believe it was a good idea even if they normally wouldn't. Like when he said he had an idea to have only the 3 girls would go out drinking with him alone, the girls were his friends but never thought about doing that. And one of them was out for lunch with her friend. Yet they liked it.

He could even kind of bend reality, once telling his coworker to leave his phone in the break room and forget where he put it. Then try to check his phone 10 minutes later, after the panic Jack told the guy he had an idea it was in his back pocket, and it was there.

Then finally, Jack told this coworker he had an idea that the coworker would sex swap, becoming a woman version of himself, and only Jack would remember this was the way things were. AND IT WORKED. He became a She, and while she wasn't Jack's type at all, it did confirm the ideas could even alter the person who 'stole it', and reality as well.

So now Jackson decided to try and fulfill his perverted diet, if these ideas could be spread, and even change the person who hears it, then this would be the ultimate meta-power. He might not be recognized for his ideas to shape the world, but he could certainly convince others to do as he pleases.

First thing, where does he get his foothold.
