Jackie's There, But... Something Is Weird...

Instinctively, you froze when you saw Jackie. She was just laying on her bed, staring at her phone, but... it was still Jackie. You'd seen her do enough to believe most of the rumors about her, namely the ones involving other students "transferring out" after pissing her off. So, understandably, it didn't matter if you had these crazy ghost powers, she was still absolutely terrifying.

It didn't get better when Jackie looked up from her phone. Right at you. Smirking. Despite not being able to feel the air or anything since you'd "gone ghost", a chill shot up your spine from that smirk. But... she couldn't see you, right? You were a ghost, you shouldn't-

"You found one of those rings too, huh?" Jackie asked with a stretch. "Nate, right?"

"N-Nick." You stammered, trying to comprehend what Jackie had just said.

"Eh, something with an N, close enough." Jackie sighed, cracking her neck. "Good to know that I can see you when you're a ghost, probably 'cause my ring."

"You-"

"Yesterday. Lemme tell ya, I got all the **** I need for 'lil miss bitch!" Jackie chuckled.

"Ellie?" You guessed, getting a slow nod in return.

"Hmm... looks like we cancel each other out..." Jackie muttered, sliding out of her bed with a sigh.

"What?"

"I just tried to mind control you, and it did jack shit." Jackie explained, crossing her arms as she approached you. "Or maybe because you're still in ghost mode, it didn't work?"

"You just-"

"Try possessing me." Jackie ordered. "C'mon, I wanna test this shit!!"

With a gulp, you flew at Jackie. You weren't sure if it was a trap, but you weren't going to NOT obey her. The moment you touched her, however, you felt a sharp ache in your head as you suddenly found yourself sprawled out on the floor, back in your non-ghostly form. "I didn't-"

"You're immune to my shit, and I'm immune to yours then." Jackie muttered, stretching her arm down. "GET UP!"

"Y-Yes!" You shouted, grabbing her hand and accepting her help to stand up.

"So..."

"Y-Yeah?"

"You were planning on possessing me, right?" Jackie asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah." You gulped, not finding it possible to lie to Jackie. Especially if she had all the same powers that you did.

"Whhhhhhhy?"

"I-"

"Like, if you wanted to be a chick, why not someone like Djamila?" Jackie asked with a sigh. "Shit, you're a racist or something, right?"

"WHAT?! NO!!" You bellowed, getting a chuckle from Jackie.

"I get it, I get it." Jackie whispered, a grin forming on her face. As goosebumps formed on your arms from that look on her face, you felt hands under your arms as you were suddenly airborne. As you started to gasp, you could feel yourself being pushed against a wall, seconds before a set of lips pushed against yours. "You knew, huh?" You heard Jackie mutter right before a tongue wormed its way into your mouth, awkwardly trying to have any semblance of romance.

"What?" You gasped a few seconds later, once you'd been granted the ability to breathe once more.

"What, I finished a smoke just before you came in here, it's gonna-"

"I mean... what are you talking about? What do you think I know?!"

"The crush. Duuuuuuh." Jackie said, setting you down on the floor. "You feel the same way, and wanted to possess me to-"

"J-Jackie, do you..." You began, your eyes widening as you connected the dots. Jackie had been extra... "attentive" to you all throughout school, what with the locker-stuffing and homework stealing and everything. And, come to think of it, weren't your gym clothes randomly stolen from your gym locker back when you were a Freshman? And... you were rejected pretty quickly whenever you would ask anyone out. Jackie seriously... shit. You not only had JACKIE of all people with a crush on you, but she had all these crazy powers too! If you told her you didn't want whatever she wanted you and her to be, fuuuuuuuuck. She could do so much harm to everyone around you.

"What? Want a cig? I didn't know you smoked too." Jackie muttered, walking back over to her bed. As you attempted to process some response, she pulled a pack of cigarettes from under her bed and came back over. "Lean out the window, got it?"

"Uh..." You muttered, gulping as you thought about what to say next...
