Jack and the Jills

Morgan had fought back the tears as she drove back over to Jack's apartment. It wasn't until she got there that she realized showing up on his doorstep in tears wasn't exactly how she wanted to start this new part of her life, nor did she just want to pop up unannounced.

"Mind if I come over?" Morgan messaged Jack, as she sat in her car breathing heavy waiting impatiently for his response.

"Sure, but I have to go visit my friend because his wife just left him. Lol" Jack returned.

Morgan winced at his cruel words but gathered her things anyway and made her way up to his apartment. She wasn't sure what was going to happen from here and now she was feeling a little more apprehensive about the whole thing. Then she knocked on his door.

"Hey! You're back!" Rachel beamed as she yanked Morgan into the apartment. "What brings you by?" She smiled warmly before she caught Morgan's pained expression and red eyes. "Oh no."

"Yup. She's getting a divorce." Jack revealed for her as he came into the room. "Nelson put it up as his status on Facebank. Then he texted it to me." He laughed as he wandered into the kitchen to grab a drink from the fridge.

"Is that true?" Rachel asked. Morgan nodded taking note of the woman's excitement. "Jack?" She turned to him and seemed to share her thoughts with him privately in that gaze.

Morgan tried to figure out what was being left unsaid but didn't have to wait long before Rachel took her into the living room. Fond, fresh memories returned of their time together in here.

"If you need a place to stay let me start with that first..." Rachel began as she pulled her down onto the couch. "...you're more than welcomed. Okay?"

"Y-yes, thank you, uh..." Morgan took a deep breath and looked up as Jack joined them, taking a seat in a recliner nearby. "Um, but I have something else to ask you..."

"Is it money?" Rachel asked.

"Do you not want him to know you're here?" Jack wondered allowed.

"No." Morgan shook her head. "I-I..." She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "I would like to join you two, to be your girlfriend. Both of you."

"Wait, what?" Jack spit out his beer.

Rachel's jaw dropped and brows both rose as she stared at Morgan who as at that very moment deciding that this wait was far worse than the silence she had experienced only moments ago when she told her husband it was over.

"I get a unicorn?" Jack laughed.

"What?" Rachel asked.

"A unicorn." He stated simply. "Two chicks and one guy. A unicorn." He grabbed his crotch as if to emphasize his point.

"You're such an ass." Rachel affirmed staring at Jack, before turning back to Morgan. "I'm not going to say no. I enjoyed last night."

"Yeah? Really?" Morgan's heart fluttered with hope.

Rachel and Jack looked to each other then back to Morgan and then once more back at each other. Morgan couldn't believe what she was doing or how she had even made it here. So much had changed in her in such a short time a part of her wondered if she had ever been happy with Nelson when this whole part of her existed bound and unable to breathe.

"So you really wanna be my bitch then?" Jack asked, then winced when Rachel slapped him.

"Jack!" Rachel reprimanded him.

"Fine-fine. Morgan, you know I ain't going to say no." Jack laughed.

"What about Nelson?" Rachel asked them both.
