It stops at...Iris

Both their eyes followed the spinning bottle as it finally stopped, pointing in Iris's direction.

"Truth.", said Iris, a little too quickly.

"Chicken.", teased Valerie. "I had a very naughty dare planned for you."

"Like you're any better.", replied Iris, slightly miffed. "Let's see what you choose when it's your turn."

"All right", said Valerie. "Here's my question, then - What's the history between you and Victor?"

Iris's face became red as a beet. "Wh-what do you mean?", she sputtered.

"Well, when he saved me from the men in the aircraft, he mentioned you in a very...interesting way. And if there's smoke, there's fire.", replied Valerie, her lips turning into a sly smile.

"I-I'm not sure we have the time. It's a long story.", replied Iris, turning even redder than before. She brought her hands across her chest, her body language clearly indicating nerves.

"Cooome on!", teased Valerie, moving behind Iris and massaging her tense back. "You're not chickening out before the game even starts! All right, all right, how about this - tell me about how you two first met."

"Give me the good stuff.", she leaned over and winked at Iris, who sighed in resignation and began to speak.

"It started in college. We were both in the same class..."

Iris was sitting in a classroom, bored. She already knew what her Comp Sci professor was teaching inside out - in fact, she was probably a full semester or two ahead of her course material.

However, boredom was not the main thing on her mind.

She was MAD.

She glanced to her side, stealing a glance at the guy sitting a few seats away from her. She had tried to talk to him for weeks, but he had brushed her off every single time. She couldn't believe it. She had been dropping hints left and right - was he that oblivious? All that was left to do was shout "I have a crush on you, you jerk!" in his face.

Her roommate and best friend, sitting next to her, noticed this and giggled. "Him, again? Jeez, girl, I don't know what you see in him. There's plenty of other, more handsome fish in the sea.", she whispered.

The professor glared at the source of the noise, and the girls shut up for a while. After a few minutes, the conversation picked up again as her friend noticed her staring in the same direction.

"You want him so bad, huh.", she said to Iris mischievously. "Guys only understand one language. You need to speak it."

"Shut up.", Iris elbowed her, and the girls quieted down as the professor glared at them again.

The class finished, and students began to gather their stuff and leave. Her friend began to leave when she noticed Iris still sitting in her seat, deep in thought.

"You coming?", she asked.

"You go on.", replied Iris. "I don't have another class till after lunch. I'll catch you later."

Her friend nodded, leaving for her next class. Iris, though, wasn't looking at her - she was looking at the guy who was busy writing in his notebook, clearly struggling to make sense of the stuff written on the blackboard.

Guys only understood one language, huh, she thought. Then maybe it was time she spoke that language.
