It seems like you've been given a second chance for now

"Wait!" The knight suddenly says, and you've already stopped your pathetic flailing when you feel the cold steel of her sword against thick hide of your neck. You cannot understand why she would hesitate to take your life, even though it's hardly uncommon for your master's minions to keep their foes alive, if just to make them suffer even more than they would have done by a swift ****.

"If it's clever enough to plot an ambush, it must also be clever enough to speak?" The woman explains her reasoning to the others around her, and you can see the rest of them nodding slowly in response to her question. The white-robed cleric a little more eagerly, while the dwarf just frowns and spits on the ground in disgust.

"Yes. I speak." You answer the question slowly as you remain unsure of your captor's intentions, and almost smile to yourself as you see the group staring back at your face in mild surprise. Apparently they've never encountered a talking ogre before, or at least they certainly never heard them speaking their own language with little effort. In fact you do not even know yourself how you can do that, but somehow your master and creator must have bestowed you with a part of his own, vast knowledge.

"Then tell me..." The woman continues after a brief pause, and you can tell that she's almost forgot her question while she struggles to cope with the foreign concept of a talking ogre. "Do you know the way to your master's lair?"

"Yes. I do." You're definitively grinning now as you come to understand what she's after, and you briefly wonder what chances her meager group of so-called heroes would have against a being like your lord and master. Just about none at all you would say, but then again they've managed to topple his appointed champion without even breaking a sweat, which could perhaps mean that he's not entirely as powerful as you've been led to believe.

On the other hand you could have made for a more difficult challenge, if only your tactics hadn't worked against you, and you find yourself glaring for a second at the female rogue as you try and figure a way to repay her in kind one day. Quite obviously you're out of the fight for now however, and you quickly try to come up with a way to turn the group's curiosity to your own advantage.

"I could show the way." You tell them eventually, with the same punctuation between the words as before, as the human language still doesn't fit very well in your massive mouth. You also decide they deserve a fair warning however, even as you know they probably won't listen when they've already made it this far into their enemies keep. "But he is much too strong for you."

"Leave that for us to judge, ya beast!" The dwarf snarls back at you, and you notice how he's still holding his massive steel mace in both his hands, ready to strike your head at the slightest hint of hostility. If it wasn't for the woman in armor to step in you would have been dead already for sure, and though the concept is completely unheard off among your kind you guess that you're somewhat indebted to her for that. Or perhaps you might be able to act like you are, in order to gain her trust, and to keep her stunted companion from smashing your brain in with that mean-looking mace...
