It is time to move.

"Questers !" Yelled Lady Kogai, who was standing in front of the main door of the Manor of Elegy. "Lady Melda and I requested your help for a dangerous battle, as you may know ! Tomorrow, we will strike the Chaos Legion's camp to the north of Noldrin, and for that, we will need to depart now ! To help you rest during the walk, a runic dimension will be given to each party, giving you the possibility to take turns at resting !"

As she continued to talk, a maid came to see eacha nd every single party that was here, to give them a little stone with a rune carved on it. When she came to see your party, she gave the rune to Rei, who explained to you :

"As Lady Kogai said, these are called "Runic Dimensions", when putting a touch of energy inside it, the rune reacts and sends you to the dimension it is linked too. It is very expensive to buy though, so not many people have them. It shows the importance of our next battle."

She finished speaking when Lady Kogai finished her briefing, before she and Lady Melda walked between every party, as their maid did before, but this time, they started to lead all of the questers out of the city. You quickly decide with your party that you will be the first one to walk, while Douma and Rei will go directly inside the runic dimension to sleep, so both Rei and Douma holds the rune, before injecting in it a very small dose of their energy, before disappearing all of a sudden, as the rune floats for a second before starting to fall, just in time for you to catch it.

Afterwards, you start walking, mostly along with the people who either were designed to, or wanted to be the first to walk. Looking around you as you started walking, you couldn't see many questers anymore, and deduced that you were about a third or a fourth of the questers left, implying that almost every party only had one representant at the moment, which made the street far less crowded all of a sudden.

You and the other questers followed the Ladies Legends out of the city, before thinking about something pretty important, that made you walk up to them to ask :

"Huh... And what about dinner ?"

"Tomorrow morning, when everyone while be up." Answers Lady Kogai, looking straight ahead as she spoke. "We will all have a big meal before attacjing the Chaos Legion. We brought everything needed to have a meal without making a fire, so that it is a touch more discreet."

"Talking about discreet. Can't we just go into the runic dimensions to have our meal ?" You then ask.

"We can, but we will need someone to look for the runes." Lady Melda answers, looking straight ahead as she spoke too. "It is likely that all the other questers walking along with us thought about this, so it is likely that, like now, there will be one quester in the real world to keep an eye on the rune linked to the dimension where their party will be."

You reply with a nod, as you continued to walk. And it did go on for hours, with the sun eventually disappearing behind the horizon, making all of the questers almost at once pull out a torch of wherever they put it, you included, before lighting it up. The space around you was pretty bright, thanks to all the torches emitting their light, but the darkness surrounding you was still there, mere meters away from your group, dark and heavy on you, as you felt the atmosphere getting heavier as the last rays of light finally disappeared.

At some point during your walk, you didn't really know how much time has passed since you started walking, maybe five or six hours ? Anyway, at some point, Douma just appeared out of thin air by your side, before starting to walk to be at your side, as she said :

"It is my turn to walk now, go rest a bit, Adam, you need it."

You still were not used to her more confident demeanor with you, since you saw her with this demeanor only two times now, but you didn't give much thoughts to that, as you answered, your tiredness heavy in your voice. "I sure need some rest now, it is so exhausting to walk, for some reason..."

You then give her the torch you were holding, before taking the rune in your hand, injecting a touch of your energy in it, in some way that you didn't really understand, before everything went black for a second.

After the light came back, blinding you quite a bit due to how bright it was, you notice two beds next to each other and close to a table. Around you, there was a seemingly infinite empty space, but you just wanted to go to bed, your eyes getting heavier and heavier the more time passed, so you didn't give a good look to the dimension before going straight to bed, falling asleep almost instantly.
