Lavorra picks up the pace, leading with her shield, intending to batter the three into submission before she’s **** to draw blood. Unless they leave her ****.

Her divine icon, bouncing against the curvature of her breastplate, glows with an emerald light.

Then winks out.

The men spot her, and while two of them shout with alarm, the third, a tanned bruiser, his eyes blackened with kohl, moves at a surprising speed. Shoving one of his fellows out of the way, he brings his cudgel around in an arch, standing his ground and slamming it into Lavorra’s side at the precise moment she reaches him.

While he is knocked to the ground, Lavorra is sent reeling, losing her footing. The canny bandit, swings his leg from the dusty ground, sweeping hers and knocking her flat on her ass.

It’s over in a heartbeat from there. He shield is wrenched away by one bandit and the other stamps on her wrist, eliciting a yelp of pain from the hapless Paladin. She drops her sword, cradling her abused wrist.

Scrambling one-handed to rise, she is knocked back down, and straddled by a lank-haired blond outlaw, who grins as he presses a dirk to the soft flesh beneath her jaw.

“You’re a ways from the convent sister. And a sight for sore eyes to boot.”

While the tanned man recovers, clearly more hurt by Lavorra’s charge than he seemed, the third man, a one-eyed, bald brute, looms over her and his fellow.

“Really thought she’d be tougher, seeing her coming down the way. Typical Elf.” He leers, showing foul teeth.

Lavorra gulps, but looks back up at them fiercely, defiance in her large green eyes.
