Can’t be all that bad right?
It’s all downhill from here.
Your plane lands in a secluded airport. You and Lois both exit the plane and are escorted right into a beat up looking car by more men in black uniforms. “So where are we going to be staying?” You ask the driver, who just ignores you. “Nice guy.” You think to yourself as Lois cuddles up next to you.
The car comes to a stop after thirty minutes of driving. You get out to see a beat up, shabby looking apartment complex that resides right on top of a bar. A man steps out and takes your bags, along with a wad of cash given to him by a man in black. The guy takes your things and notions for you to follow him. You and Lois oblige, and follow him to the fifth floor of the building, where he shows you to your new living arrangements. You gaze your eyes on a barren room, the only details being the mold on the walls and the holes in the ceiling. “Well this is bullshit.” Lois states as she walks around the room in disgust. “It’s only for a small while, we’ll be fine,” she rolls her eyes. “After all we’ve got just the two of us and time.”
“Well I’m not doing anybody until we get some mattresses and some goddamn relief.”
“Well there goes my weekend plans”
Lois chuckles at your joke and sets down her stuff. “Listen, I think I’m just gonna go lie down for the night, feel free to join me.” You say and walk to another room adjacent to this one. Before you lie down you pull out your jacket and put it on the floor to act as a mattress. You surprisingly fall asleep quickly and the world around you begins to change…
