It’s Kinkade

It is a little hard for me to see with so little light, but it seems like this guy might be Owen. Yeah, Owen would make for a good husband. I will go for him.

I step away from the tree and walk up behind the guy. Then I speak up and say, “Hi Owen.”

The guy is a bit startled at my sudden appearance and quickly turns around. It is only now that I notice it is actually Kinkade instead.

“Uhm, sorry. I’m Kinkade.” He replies.

Oh, dear lord. I used the wrong name. That is so embarrassing.

“Owen was on this side too though.” Kinkade says. “Want to keep looking for him?”

“Actually no.” I say. “You are a good match too. Maybe even a better match then Owen is. So …” I then hold out my hand and say, “… would you be my Samhain partner for tonight?

Kinkade smiles and takes my hand, catching me in the process. “Sure.”

It is at this point that Igraine comes out of the shadows too and introduces herself to Kinkade.

“Right, it looks like you’ve found yourself a match, Riannon.” Igraine says. “I guess that means I should be going now, right?”

Before I can say anything, Kinkade tells her, “I’m fine with you staying.”

Did he honestly just say that? Dear gods, I don’t think I would be able to do it if Igraine stayed here and watched me do it. On the other hand, I did kinda spy on her just a while ago. Noooo, if now I tell her she can’t watch I will be a hypocrite. Why did I have to do that? Damn my curiosity. The best I can do is hug Kinkade’s arm and hide behind him a little and hope Igraine chooses to leave of her own choice.
