It's field trip day (For the whole senior year)

A thought suddenly clicks in your head and you remember that today is a field trip day! Everyone was set to head out to a special location together! Excitedly, you grab your signed slip from your backpack and rush towards Ms. Pershing's office. Luckily, you make it just as she is preparing to leave. She looks at you with surprise as you enter. "Oh! Sam? What can I do for you?"

You hand her your slip. "I got everything taken care of! I'm ready for the senior trip!"

Ms. Pershing looks at the form before making a small shrug. "Alright then. Follow me, and we'll get you on the bus."

As the two of you head towards the parking lot, you notice something odd. Everyone lined up around the area is female. The Night School girls are talking to the Day School as the teachers wander around making sure everyone is here. Ms. Pershing briefly walks away from you to talk to some of the teachers. As you take a spot next to Chris, your best friend, she turns to you in confusion.

"Whoa! Sam, what are you doing here?!"

"Uh, going on the field trip?" You say, equally confused.

"Yeah, but this is the girls' spot! The boys are going separately!" She says. "Hell, I don't even know if they're going to the same place we are!"

Ms. Pershing suddenly appears beside you. "She's right. You were given the wrong paper slip, Sam. These were supposed to go to the girls."

"What?" You ask. "Well, then give me the other form and I'll go over there now!"

"That'll take all day long to print out and fill out," Ms. Pershing says. "And we need to leave in a few minutes."

You start to feel a small panic. You've been aching to go on this field trip since it was announced. It wasn't fair if you got left behind because the faculty fucked up your forms!

Ms. Pershing glances back at the teachers before leaning down to you. Then she walks in front of the bus and calls for everyone's attention. "Alright, everybody, listen up! Due to an error, Sam here was given our form by mistake! We don't want him to be left behind because of me, so here's the choice for you: does anyone have an issue with Sam, one boy, coming with us on this trip?"

You look around and, to both your surprise and joy, only a couple hands in the crowd go up. Some of them belong to Ahyoka, Artemis, and Candy. You knew those three wouldn't want you around. The others you couldn't quite see. Once Ms. Pershing finishes counting the hands, she shouts to the crowd, "Very well, then! Sam is coming with us on our trip!"

A few of the girls, like Chris and Amy and Alexandra, cheer the decision. Chris smiles and smacks your shoulder. "Don't worry. You can sit next to me!"

"Thanks, Chris," you say. You stay beside her as the buses begin to board.
