It was a hot summer morning in North India. The sun was already shining brightly, and the air felt warm even though it was still early.

Radha yawned as she walked towards the bathroom, still feeling sleepy. She had just woken up, her hair messy, her eyes half-closed. Her father had already left for work at the hotel, and her mother was in the kitchen, busy making breakfast.

She stretched her arms and glanced at her brother’s room. Deepak was still fast asleep. "How lazy," she thought, shaking her head. It was always the same—she would wake up early, while her younger stepbrother would sleep till late.

She entered the bathroom, splashed some cold water on her face, and sighed. Another hot day had begun.

Radha turned around to leave but stopped when her eyes fell on a bucket filled with unwashed clothes. Hmm, I should wash my undies, she thought.

She moved towards the bucket, tying her hair into a ponytail with a rubber band. Bending down, she started searching through the clothes. After a few moments, she found a pair and pulled them out. Just as she turned towards the tap to wash them, her fingers touched something sticky on the fabric.
