Is It Love That We're Feeling?

AJ felt her flesh crawl with unease... and it wasn't because of her forced mates presences either.

"A winter storm is blowing in. Its early for the season as we're weeks away from winter... but its coming fast and it will strike hard. If you all are going to leave, it has to be today before the harbor freezes over again."

The healer warned them.

"But AJ.. she's in no condition to be moved, she's just given birth to a female child."

Silas interjected. And though it was unspoken, they all knew that AJ was far weaker than her mother before her. She didn't have magnificent healing and recovery. She was fragile and weak. Both AJ and the baby could fall ill if they were moved too soon.

"Give her to me..."

AJ murmured softly. She only felt at ease when her baby was back safely in her arms. The newborn yawned faintly and AJ tried nursing her for the first time. It took a couple of tries since this was her first baby, but soon enough the infant was nursing like a champ with her tiny little hands balled up into fists.

"Yilia... you're going to have to purchase a lot of washable nappies...."

AJ murmured to the snake woman whom she'd blessed a child to. Yilia hadn't been on the receiving end of changing cloth diapers in her lifetime before as she'd never had a female child before now. It would definitely be something worth getting used to now that their daughter was here.
