Investigation and the Mystery of Mistress Lady

It was daytime in the city of Fuxian, and specifically at the police headquarters in the district.

There, in Detective Gu Tienchen’s office, he was looking at a map with photos, notes, and newspaper clippings pinned to the whiteboard on the wall, and in the center, a photo of Mistress Lady.

A cameraman had managed to capture and photograph her as she fled after causing an explosion of confetti and paint as a distraction to throw off the members of the Mu family and their guards.

Meanwhile, Mistress Lady hacked into the Mu Family’s security systems and central computer to expose the crimes hidden by the current clan leader and eldest daughter of the Mu Family.

By expelling Mu Chen, the Mu Family’s adopted son, only to bring back his biological brother Mu Xiaoman and the true perpetrator of the crimes that damaged Mu Chen’s reputation and life.

Today, Su Chen is known as the most famous composer of music and songs in all of Northern China.

But in the past, he was known as Mu Xiaochen or Mu Chen—names he preferred to be called by those he considered trusted confidants, such as his family and his two beloved wives, Si Yanyuan and Zhang Jinran.

“It's certainly interesting how she does things,” said Gu Tienchen, as he used a red pin, a yellow pin, a blue pin, and other pins of different colors to mark the locations on the map pinned to the blackboard where Mistress Lady had been or is currently located.

“What do you mean by that, Chief?” asked Lu Quianwei, Detective Gu’s assistant and second-in-command, noticing how he kept looking at the map and marking the places they had investigated before.

She didn’t understand what her boss was thinking, and that actually always intrigued her and piqued her curiosity. Because thanks to that, Detective Gu had always found a solution or come up with a new plan to capture the criminals.

“It seems we're not dealing with a simple villain or a phantom thief,” Gu Tienchen remarked after marking the location and area where the Yang Chen Museum was situated.

“So, who or what are we up against, Chief?” she asked, as Lu Quianwei was confused and didn't quite understand what her superior was referring to.

“Well, in short, we’re not dealing with a supervillain—one with a very enigmatic and empathetic mindset,” replied Detective Gu, turning his gaze to his young assistant, as Lu Quianwei was the only female police officer among all the Elite members who met the requirements to be his assistant and right-hand woman.

Before that, Detective Gu Tienchen ordered his partner to start looking for clues or leads that they could use to try to guess or figure out what Mistress Lady’s next target would be.

MEANWHILE -- CHEN VILLAGE, THE LIU FAMILY'S ANCESTRAL HOME
