Introductions

"Speak of the Devil." Asami says as I walk inside. "We were just talking about you Master." Asami continues before standing up. She turns to Abigal who's sitting next to her. She motions for her to stand causing Abigal to jump up.

"M-my name is Abigal, thank you for accepting me into your Guild. I look forward to working as one of your members." She says nervously before sitting back down. Nick stands up next, since he's sitting next to Abigal.

"I'm Nick, it's an honor to be here." Nick says before sitting causing Chase to stand next.

"I'm Chase, I hope I can learn from you and the other members. Also while I have you, does that arena have any exercise equipment? Specifically barbells?" Chase asks while sitting down.

"Not yet, there is a room for that though. We plan on creating a gym inside with barbells, treadmills, and other equipment. However, we haven't purchased any yet. Why do you ask? Do you need them for something?" I ask back.

"Yeah, my magic amplifies my physical strength. The stronger I am, the more effective it is. The amount of mana I use can increase it too. But the most effective way is to pack on more muscle." He says causing me to nod. Mavis stands up next, continuing the introductions.

"My name is Mavis. I'm not good in a head-on fight, but I'm good at supporting and scouting." She says before sitting back down. Andrew stands up next.

"I guess I'm last. My name is Andrew, I use a bow as my weapon. I'm looking forward to being a member of your Guild." He says before sitting back down.

"It's nice to meet you all. I'm Eric, the Guildmaster but please just call me Eric. I'm not too fond of formalities." I say before grabbing a chair from a different table. Their table is full so I drag it closer. As I sit down someone knocks on the door behind me. I get up and walk over to the door. Asami runs over and catches up as I open it. I see Anna standing on the other side.

"Eric, we are done with your arena. We're going to take a few days off as a break before working on the dorms. But you can expect them to be done in about two weeks, give or take." Anna says while handing me two rolled-up pieces of paper. One is blue, and I recognize it as the blueprint. I roll open the other and see it's the receipt. It goes into detail on why it cost so much. I'm surprised at how little the materials cost. I had thought they would've been more expensive. I store the two papers away.

"Thank you Anna. We'll have the blueprints for the dorms finalized by the time you get back." Asami says with a slight bow. I thank her as well before she leaves.

"Who was that?" Abigal asks from behind me. I turn around and see the seven of them have walked over to us.

"That was Anna, she's the Guildmaster of Builtos. They're the ones we hired to construct the arena." Asami says as I get an idea.

"Mavis, Chase, Abigal, Andrew, and Nick. How are you all doing after your drive? Are you feeling tired at all?" I ask them. They all shake their heads no. "Good, then could you change into your gear and grab your weapons?" I ask them and they all look at one another surprised.

"Master, what are you planning to do?" Asami asks me.

"Since the arena is done, I'd like to test it out. At the same time, I'd like to get a feel for your abilities. So I'll be sparring with you each one on one. You don't have to win, and this won't affect whether we accept you or not. I'd just like to get an idea of how you fight." I say causing Asami to sigh. The five of them all go upstairs to their rooms.

"Do you not want to spar with us?" Irene asks while motioning to herself and Marlo.

"We can if you'd like. But I have a good idea of how you fight from the Ruins." I say causing her to sigh in relief. Besides, I've already gotten your gifts made. I think before Asami tugs on my sleeve.

"Y'know Master, once Luna and Innu hear of this they'll throw a fit." Asami says causing me to sigh.

"Yeah, I'll just have to spar with them later." I say causing her to chuckle. Andrew runs up to us first. He has a bow and a quiver on his back. The bow has magic in it, but not a whole lot. The same with his arrows. He has leather armor on with small pieces of metal covering his vitals. Chase soon follows after him. He has chain mail on with the same amount of mana as Andrews. He wears two gauntlets, each is grey and has little mana. Mavis is next, and she wears a black robe that stops around her waist. She has a skirt on with tights underneath. All of which carries a surprising amount of mana. They seem to be Enchanted, but I don't know what it does. She holds a small wand and a dagger in her hands. Abigal is next, wearing a red cloth or silk robe stopping at her waist. It too has a large amount of mana and is Enchanted. Unlike Mavis's, hers is open revealing a leather chest and matching leggings. Lastly, Nick arrives wearing a chainmail set of armor. It doesn't hold as much mana as the other, causing me to wonder if it's made of normal metals. He has a sword and shield sheathed on his hip and back. I make sure they're all ready before we leave. We go to the arena and Asami leads Marlo and Irene to the stands. The others follow me into the arena.
