Alone

You wipe a band of sweat off of your brow as you gaze forwards. You’ve finally reached the edge of the forest. It was a long treacherous but necessary journey. Your home town had been completely destroyed by one of the many meteors that hit earth early this year. It was just by some saving grace you had taken a solo camping trip the weekend they hit and were in an area untouched by the calamity.

But now you’ve found yourself alone, by some months to your calculations. The battery powered radio you had taken with you alerted you of the destruction of your home town before going permanently silent. So, you’ve had **** but to follow the states major river through the forest in hopes of coming across any surviving towns or people.
