4. Moment

Your breath catches in your chest as your eyes meet with his. It’s been several months since you’ve seen another human let alone touched one. His hand remains on the small of your back as your gazes lock and it feels as if small currents of electricity are shooting through his hand into your skin. After a few seconds your realize not only is one of your hands on his forearm but it’s also started squeezing it.

You quickly but somewhat reluctantly pull your hand away and stammer “I’m sorry.” The mans eyes don’t leave yours as he catches your hand in his as it pulls away. “It’s okay” his deep, calm, voice rumbles out. You almost didn’t even catch his mouth open as you’ve not only been mesmerized by his piercing eyes but now also distracted by his hand holding yours. “It’s good to know your arm isn’t broken” he continues.

You blush again and finally pull away from his gaze to look down at your body. Your already tattered clothing is now caked in dry blood. You go to sit up more and gasp as the pain in your ribs shoot up to your chest. You feel the mans hand tighten around yours and his other hand runs along your back across your spine. “I’m more worried about your ribs” he says as his hand gently rubs along down your left side and stops where your shirt ends and a patch of your skin is revealed. As his finger tips barely brush against your bare skin you feel the electricity from him increase.
