Within Los Angeles, there is a thriving supernatural community. Werewolves, vampires, fey, witches, just about anything you can imagine. The human world and the supernatural world exist separately, despite occupying the same spaces. The humans of Los Angeles have no idea what lurks in the shadows, but fortunately for them, a good number of the supernaturals within the city are good, likable people.

With the supernaturals being so present in the city, it's a good thing that Detective Julian Anderson is on the case. A homicide detective with werewolf abilities and knowledge of the supernatural world is a natural choice for someone to defend the supernatural world from humanity, and to defend humanity from the supernatural world. It falls on Julian to do everything he can to save lives, protect the secret of the supernatural community, and stop the threats that plague the City of Angels.
