Jette‘s adventure Down Under

Jette‘s adventure Down Under

A crazy, life-changing year in Australia

Chapter 1 by Rotstiftakrobat Rotstiftakrobat

Wow, so this is it. I'm standing in front of a small van that I already bought online from Germany. The van is a smaller Asian model and is supposed to be my new home. I have to do the interior conversion myself. I already practiced how this works back in Germany with my uncle, who is a master carpenter. He wanted to build a van for himself, and I quickly realized that I wanted to do the same in Australia. What can I say: I love kangaroos!

The flight was long and went directly to Sydney. Packed to the brim, I then took an Uber to the seller of the van. It's already paid for. I was also able to negotiate that I can use his workshop for the conversion. That's really super nice of him. For the conversion, I saved up a lot of money and also received a really generous contribution from my parents. Since I was 15, I've been working as a waitress in the local village pub. The hourly wage and tips were always quite nice. My parents own a large construction company that is active throughout the entire Northwest of Germany. From project management to execution, almost everything is in one hand. Nevertheless, my dad thinks it's important that I always work. He doesn't want to just finance my life for me, so I will also have to work here in Australia. In emergency situations, however, I can of course fall back on my parents. That of course makes many things easier and more relaxed.

Now, about me: As I said, I'm Jette and I just turned 18 a few days ago. I just passed my accelerated A-levels, and now it's time for freedom! I'm quite small and petite. Yes, even at 18, I'm often asked for my ID in bars, even if I'm just ordering a beer. Well, if I still look younger even at 40, I'll be happy. I'm 1.57m tall, or short, and weigh 45kg. But I'm not just skinny; I'm actually quite toned. However, according to my friends, my body fat percentage is practically zero. As a result, I have a really cute butt and a six-pack that I'm really proud of, but well: my breasts are unfortunately only an A-cup. My friends always describe me, with my long, smooth, dark blonde hair and blue eyes, as cute and hot, and the guys my age also try to catch a glance or two now and then, or slide into my DMs on Insta, which I don't respond to, however.

I used to do gymnastics and now I play soccer for the first women's team of my home club. Since I've been playing there, the number of boys and men watching has, according to my teammates, increased significantly. I don't really believe it, but oh well. I quickly became a regular player on the left wing. I'm pretty fast, agile, and I'd just venture to say that my technique is quite decent, too. In my youth, I even played in a youth academy (NLZ), but with my A-levels and my Australia plan, that didn't work out anymore. This season, however, I caused a bit of a stir at just 17 with some goals and assists. I don't like being in the spotlight, and I felt uncomfortable when I was voted Player of the Season at the club and was honored in front of the stands during a first men's team game.

I have a really large circle of friends. That's how it is here in the village. In my clique, there are 12 girls my age. Most of them are quite athletic. One friend still plays soccer with me, and the rest play volleyball. At a friend's place, whose parents have a farm, we used to party in an old, converted laborer's cottage. We still like to use that today. I also have a circle of friends in the nearby city where I did my A-levels. A neighbor of mine once said, rather dismissively, that that was the rich high society. Mean, but we are almost all daughters of entrepreneurs, so he wasn't completely wrong. In that circle, I'm the little, innocent mouse and the girls always make fun of me for my naivety and supposed innocence. The girls go all out when partying and also don't like to go home alone. I'm different. I was raised by my parents to be cautious, I don't dress as provocatively, and while I do drink ****—and quite enjoy it—I usually have a game on Sunday and training on Friday.

But enough about me for now, because I want to tell you about my adventure Down Under.

Does the van meet my expectations?
