F.U.S.E Device

In the middle of a field sat an odd machine resembling a leaf blower or backpack vacuum, though a striking difference was the large chute sticking out of its top, reminiscent of a wood chipper or those "Input-Output" machines shown in school math books. The foliage around the device was thick, implying it had sat there for a while, yet it was pristine; no bugs, no grass stains, no water marks from rain, no mud.

The device seemed simple enough to use; insert the objects you'd like to combine into the chute, choose what aspects of the items you'd like to include in the fusion, and the newly created object would be ejected from the handheld hose. For objects too large to insert, the hose can also act as a vacuum tube, breaking down the larger object into pieces before ejecting the final creation. A touch screen sat on the vacuum handle, displaying the currently consumed objects and their usable properties. The higher-dimensional beings that made this machine had an intimate knowledge of archetypes and the Collective Unconscious, and they devised a way to categorize objects both by their physical aspects and the ascribed characteristics that society has put upon them.
