You steel yourself and knock three times, then wait until the captain says “Whose there?”
You enter his cabin and greet him with a smile.
“Good day, captain.”
The black man looks at you with distrusts and asks “Who are you?”
“My name is Sabine, I’m a friend from one of your subordinates.” You explain as you close the door behind you.
“We used to live in the same place before he joined your crew. I met him again some time ago and he told me how much he enjoyed the life of a pirate.” You say as you walk to the captains desk.
“He inspired me and now I’d like to join your gang and be a pirate as well.”

“Is that so?” The black man wondered as he raised his eyebrows in surprise. “And who might that ‘subordinate’ be?”
You smile mischievously and reply “You know, that drunken fellow who drinks outside the cove when you reprimand him on being too drunk.”
The captain rolles his eyes and sighed. “Blasted Bill, he’s going to give away our hideout one day.”
The captain quickly gathered his composure and focuses his attention back to you.
“Well then, Sabine. Can you fight?”
You show him the blade you’re carrying and say “I’ve got a sword.”
“Can you sail?” He asks you next.
You cock your head and reply “I’m a fast learner.”
His final question for you is “Are you willing to steal?”
You smile naughtily and say “You will find I am a really bad girl.”
The black man offers his hand and says “Welcome aboard.”
You shake his hand and reply “I won’t disappoint you, sir. So when is the next raid?”
The captain laughed. “Eager for some pirating, I see?”
“The life of a village girl can be mighty boring, captain.”
“I’m afraid it’s going to be boring a little longer.” The captain replies. “We just had a plunder yesterday.”

Damn, you can’t afford to wait around. You need to do something about this.
