Introduce yourself to your new roommate

The girl turns from her task when you enter. She's stunningly attractive and exudes a confidence you hadn't seen on any of the other girls in the dorm.

Jessica : "Hi, I'm Jessica. I think we're roommates..."

You manage to say, almost entirely like a normal person.

Trilia : "Oh hi! Jessica Bautem right? Nice to meet you! I'm Trilia, I love your robes! I know just the shop in Faston that you got them, you have excellent taste."

She's indicating the robes that were definitely one of Tritera's picks which you had tried, and failed, to turn down. This girl was bubbly but on top of things. You were getting a real dominating aura from how she immediately took control of the conversation, a lead you were only to happy to follow if it meant you didn't have to find out what to say for yourself.

Jessica : "That's right, I was just there the other day... You have a really good eye."

Trilia : "Thank you! We'll have to go shopping together some day."

Just then you were saved from needing to respond to the suggestion as the door behind you opened up as another girl entered. You used the moment to drag your trunk to the other bed on the opposite wall from the door.

Trilia : "Welcome! Me and Jessica were just getting introduced. I'm Trilia!"

The girl coming in seemed a little ambushed by the immediate introduction but recovered quickly.

Amber : "Oh, hello I'm Amber. It's nice to meet you two."

She kept it simple and just lugged her own trunk to one of the two remaining beds. You think you ought to continue the conversation but don't know how, luckily Trilia is on top of it.

Trilia : "I'm so excited to start learning magic. Both my parents are casters and I've gone my whole life feeling totally unable to do even the simplest thing. It'll be so nice to finally feel capable. Did either of you grow up in a magical family."

You notice Amber looks older than either you or Trilia, maybe nineteen or twenty.

Amber : "Not me, I just found out I was a sorcerer a few months ago. Before then I had only ever seen a caster from a distance when my family went into the city. This whole adventure has taken some getting used to."

Jessica : "Me neither, I only found out four days ago. I would be surprised if I had ever been within 6 days travel of a caster my whole life before then."

Trilia : "Four days!? That's cutting it close."

Amber : "wow, I thought three months was a quick turnaround, you must still be in shock."

Maybe you had been a little too worried, these girls seemed really empathetic.

Jessica : "Yeah, it's been tough... For a lot of reasons... But I'm totally excited to start learning too."

Trilia : "If either of you have any questions about the magical world let me know. I'm happy to help catch you up. What are your specialties by the way? I'm arcane conjuration and charms."

Amber : "I'm an elementalist and healing magic specialist."

She says, once again keeping her answer short and to the point. You don't think she is annoyed or doesn't want to be involved in the conversation but just prefers to be direct.

Jessica : "Nice, I'm an elementalist too. Also a transfigurer."

Amber doesn't seem to register that this is a rare specialty but Trilia definitely does. She looks like she might actually be in danger of exploding in excitement.

Trilia : "No. Way. I'm so jealous! You've only been here for a few days, do you know how rare that is! We're going to have so much fun."

You're blushing, you guess Tritera had a point when she stressed being able to do some Transfiguration would make you popular with the girls.

Jessica : "Yeah, I was told it was pretty rare..."

Is all you can find to respond with.

Amber : "What can a transfigurer do?"

Trilia : "She can alter the form of people, make you look like a totally different person. Taller, shorter, blonde, brunette, heck, want a tail or cat ears? Our girl Jessica has us covered. Right Jessica"

Not quite sure why anyone would want a tail or cat ears but happy to be seen as valuable friendship material you nod enthusiastically.

Amber : "I see, that could come in handy."

You hope she isn't talking about the tail.
