Interruption

You couldn't believe that had just happened. As Lady Victoria stormed away, a part of you started to ponder over what happened. She had blown up over coming in her. It was understandable that she would be upset over that fact. Another fact that moved to the forefront of your mind is that she seemed upset when you mentioned the possible marriage that could come up. Could her reactions be from developing feelings or from a scheme falling to ruin? You had ended your relationship with Lady Victoria out of a sense of duty to your people, but does that mean it was automatically foolish to continue interactions with her? Just because it was pleasant for you doesn't mean that the kingdom would fall to ruin because of it.

The uncertainty was crushing, as your feet shuffled between chasing after Victoria to apologize and ask her back or to stay and forget of any interactions with her. You let out a loud sigh as you realize that regardless of your choice your relationship with her wouldn't be the same. You find yourself wishing you had been went the other way after you were finished discussing what to do about Luxem. 'Things couldn't get any worse.' You thought as scenario after scenario filled your mind, each ending disasterly. That's what you thought, until you heard someone clearing their voice behind you.

'Of course someone would notice the fight.' You thought as you silently cursed your luck. As King, you would be able to either persuade or threaten the person to not reveal what just happened, though either way could lead to further issues down the road. It might end up just being easier to let the person walk away, though that depends on who saw you. You slowly turn to face the interloper, fearing the worst.
