Intermission: Dr. Silas

I threw my Tesla into gear and got the hell away from the bosses hideout down by the pier. I truly hate it when gets psychotic like that!! I know that I'm a spineless coward, but I don't think anyone can fault me for leaving like that. Especially, when it comes to the Joker!

Anyways, I decided to head back to WayneTech to do some paperwork that I needed to catch up on. I'm pretty sure no one saw me leave and at this time of night the only one's still at the lab would more than likely be Dr. Isley, Harley Quinn, and that monstrous abomination known as Dr. Steele. Just thinking of him gives me the creeps.

As I'm driving along my stomach decided to remind me that I haven't eaten anything all day. So, I decide to see if there's anyplace for me to stop and grab something to eat. I want something more than just fast food. That's when I see the sign for Black Betty's Diner and I remember some of my colleagues telling me that they have some best homestyle cooking in Gotham City. So I decide to stop there and grab some food.

As I pull into the parking lot of the diner I noticed a very familiar heavily modified Pontiac GTO sitting there. Now I know there's only two people in Gotham that have a classic car that looks like that, and I can't see Billionaire Bruce Wayne coming to a place like this!

Dread starts to creep in as I go to park and see the color changing paintjob that signifies that this car belongs to only one person, and one person alone. DAMN IT, WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE HIM!! WHY DOES IT SEEM LIKE HERE LATELY EVERYTIME I TURN AROUND I RUN INTO DR. STEELE? WHY CAN'T I HAVE A MOMENTS PEACE, IS THAT TO MUCH TO ASK FOR!!

As I park my car and open the door I hear music coming from the diner. Being curious I decide to walk up to diner and look through the bay of glass windows and what I saw made me almost puke!

I can't believe what I'm seeing with my own two eyes. It's Harley and Dr. Steele dancing! Not dancing to some kind of fast song, but slow dancing and judging by the looks in their eyes, I would dare say they are very much in love with each other.

Holy shit the boss is going to freak out when he hears about this development! I quickly look away, but I hear someone clapping and I decided to wait a few minutes to go in so it doesn't seem like I was spying on them.

I hear a ringing sound that tells me that they must've finally paid for their food, so I decided to walk in the door at that moment. I wasn't surprised to see Dr. Steele and Harley leaving together, but I was surprised to see them holding hands as they were leaving. Naturally, both of them spoke to me and wished me a good evening. I returned the favor and let them pass me by.

I walked over to the counter were there was a lady standing there. She handed me a menu and walked back to the kitchen. As I looked through the menu I occasionally glanced back to see if Harley and Steele had left yet. Seconds later, after I had turned back around to look at the menu again, I hear the sound of a monstrous V8 engine starting up. I look behind me again to see the color changing Pontiac backing out of its spot and then pulling forward and leave.

I'm startled back to reality by the lady asking me if I was ready to order. I told her that I was, and politely gave her my order. As she went back into the kitchen to fix my order I pulled out my phone and texted the boss as to what I just saw. Needless to say the reply back to that text had the hairs standing up on the back of my neck.
