What's next?
Interlude: The League of Villains
Earlier...
"WOULD YOU LOOK AT THIS DEVELOPMENT?! TODOROKI IS FINALLY USING HER SECOND QUIRK! IS MIDORIYA GOING TO BE OKAY?!"
Mic's voice boomed through the stadium as the crowd cheered and applauded the entertaining combat happening below. Their cheers soon fell to quietness, then murmurs. Something was off.
"Huh?" Mic's voice went back to a less ear-shattering volume. "What's going on? Is everyone not feeling this? It's the best fight we've had since- what the hell is that?!"
The sky, clear and blue not a few minutes ago, had unnaturally unraveled into storm clouds, which Mic only noticed after the first clap of thunder became audible. The storm, however, was not what everybody's attention had been drawn to. It was the massive gold-and-black pillars floating in the air above the stadium, surrounding a hovering armored being.
"Uh...? What the hell is that guy doing? Hey, Eraser, use Erasure on em, a hero will catch-"
When Mic looked to his side, Aizawa wasn't in his seat. Someone else was.
"Sorry, Mic. Eraser was a little indisposed, so I'll be taking over his segment."
Uraraka, Jiro, Sherry, Mina, and others were gathered around in the surveillance room, watching the fight unfold.
"Deku-kun... just held her in a princess-carry, didn't he...?" Uraraka's eyebrow twitched. She'd let it slide, since Todoroki quite literally fell into his arms, but... she'd be asking him to carry her like that next.
"Conquering another chick with big boobs? Careful Yaomomo, he's coming for you next." Jiro nonchalantly blurted out, causing Uraraka to cover the earphone hero student's mouth while blushing. Nothing compared to Momo's cherry-red skin, however. The other girls joined in, laughing, teasing, or going wide-eyed at her thoughtless words.
"O-Oh my... Well, he already has Uraraka-san, so I doubt he'd need anyone else. Even if he did, he has much better to choose from, I'm afraid." Momo actually responded to the comment seriously, causing the teasing girls to lose some steam and calm down. "Would you like some tea, everyone? It seems this battle may drag on."
"Wait." Jiro gently removed Uraraka's hand from her mouth. "Something's wrong."
Everyone, including the guys, walked closer to her or perked up at this. Jiro was very attentive, and she never said something like that for no reason.
"...right, why is Mic saying nothing? The audience is all quiet too... wait a moment, let me check the surroundings."
Jiro's jacks stuck into a wall and the floor. She tensed up immediately, putting a finger to her mouth to tell everybody to stay quiet. They complied, only moving to put on their hero costumes' equipment in silence - or in Hagakure's case, to take off her clothes in a flash. There was someone outside.
A massive crashing boom made everybody turn towards the surveillance feed, letting them witness a huge pillar breaking through the protective dome of the arena as the spectators started running. This was a mistake.
SLAM
Two identical gray-haired women burst through the doors to the surveillance room, their slim bodies covered in severed hands holding onto them. Bakugo was the first to turn to them and aim his palm at one of their faces, but Kirishima tackled him away at the last moment.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING, ROCKHEAD?!"
"THEY'RE CLEARLY GOING TO USE THEIR QUIRKS! THINK, MAN- GAH!"
One of them grabbed Kirishima by the throat, triggering his Hardening instinctively. It didn't work - his body started warping strangely despite still appearing jagged and rocky.
"Crap! Guys, don't- don't let them touch you!"
The girls turned around, some of them trying to reach out for the boys who were all away from them, some of them being paralyzed by shock or fear. It didn't matter - a wall of blue flame spread in front of them, cutting them off from helping Iida, Kaminari, Kirishima, Bakugo, Sero and Tokoyami. Meiyuu started screaming at the top of her lungs, incoherently babbling about fire and dying at the back of the room.
A cruel, mocking voice further deterred them from moving - they were trapped between ceiling-height flames in front of them and the wall with the surveillance monitors behind them. To their side, their only escape - one of the doors to the corridor outside - was being blocked by this flame-wielding villain.
"What a sorry state for the future top heroes of Japan to be in."
Bakugo and Iida ran circles around the remaining hand-covered girl, finding it obnoxiously hard to land a hit on her. She was like a coked-out cat in terms of speed and reflexes. So instead, Bakugo aimed a shot at the one holding Kirishima... only for the one he was chasing earlier to leap at him and grab his throat and hand, shoving the explosion towards the window to his right.
"BAKUGO-KUN!" Iida tried to kick her away, but something rock solid got in the way in a flash... A voice similar to Kirishima's, but with a girlier pitch and tone, emerged from the dust and debris kicked up by the impact.
"Like, you're gonna hit Baku-chan, dummy. What kinda man are you?"
"Kirishima... -kun?"
The crowd dispersed amidst the chaos of the villain attack, prompting the many heroes present to assess the situation and dash towards the arena. Before anyone could get there, a titanic constrictor snake appeared from a corridor, encircling the broken dome until it was completely covered by its scaled body.
"Kill that snake or get it out of the way! It must be one of the villains' Quirks!" The heroes in charge cried out, but rather than hearing their sidekicks' response, they heard an unfamiliar, smug voice. The heroes turned around to meet its source.
"Oh no, dear. She's doing that all on her own. Would you like to see my other pets?"
Endeavor noticed a drop of sweat slowly trail down his cheek. He was heating up enough to be at his peak performance, yet he could not use his full power here. Not like this. After all, he wasn't fighting some random villains attacking UA like he felt he should. He was stuck fighting civilians under the control of the villains.
"Hey daddy~ Wanna promote me to your live-in personal secretary after this? I'm sure you've got some space for me under that giant desk..." A feminine voice sung out as he burnt off one of her attacks.
Right. He was also fighting three of his sidekicks: Kido, Onima, and Vermillion. Or rather, what was left of them after the attackers had used some strange Quirk on them. They had all been turned female - exaggeratedly so, going by their ample chests, butts and slender waists. Even their hair had grown some, to say nothing of their fuller lips and makeup-like features. The civilians attacking him were all affected in the same way. But there was something more disturbing happening here.
Kido's Quirk was Traject. He could redirect anything that went through the bandages covering his body, even people, in a direction of his choosing. Yet, his... no, her bandages were now razor sharp on top of her previous Quirk. Kido using her bandages as weapons... she could start her own agency rather than stick with him having a Quirk like that.
The same went for Onima and Vermillion - the former could absorb heat from surroundings and grow physically stronger doing so, while the latter could increase the temperature of his body to really dangerous degrees. Now, Onima was actually freezing her surroundings by sucking heat out of room temperature objects and even people, while Vermillion's body could melt into harmless goo to escape attacks on top of manipulating her temperature. Were they somehow given new Quirks when turned into women? Or did the transformation **** their Quirks to evolve along with their DNA?
All of this had happened right under his nose too, focused as he was on his daughter's battle. Truthfully, he felt ashamed, furious, and indignant. He could hold all of them back at once, but they could keep dragging him down as well, and he could not go all-out against innocent civilians and fellow heroes. His Quirk was not suited for capture in these circumstances. And the school was under attack by much more than just violent, superpowered bimbos.
"I need to wait for backup." His hand went to his ear, clicking the comms device he used to contact his agency. "We need someone with a capturing Quirk here. If Bondage is busy, call another agency. The villains are-" Only then, he noticed that nothing but static was coming out. Tch. An interference. Maybe some EMP technology or Quirk. He'd just have to exhaust these people before he overheats. "But first..."
With an outstretched arm, Endeavor fired off three lances of concentrated flame at the giant serpent's body, causing it to hiss in pain. "Shouko might be in danger, and I won't let this joke of a Quirk impede me from checking up on her. Wait, that sound...?"
clang
Everyone's attention shifted towards the dome. It had been a few minutes since the invasion had begun, and Izuku and Todoroki hadn't been seen for at least two minutes. Just what was that hammering sound?
clang... clang... clang...
The giant snake covering the arena began violently rattling after a few of these sounds, before being sucked into the dome through the hole the armored villain had previously torn into it, still set ablaze by Endeavor's attacks. What came out was hard to believe, even for the #2 Pro Hero himself.
"TEXAAAAAS SMAAAAAAAAAAAASH-!"
CLANG
A massive blast of pressurized wind blew the armored villain out of the dome, its now glowing pillars following them high into the air. A dark brume soon followed, spreading like a massive smoke screen through the entire arena and beyond. But there was something more sinister in the middle of it all, some form of dark tendrils growing like roots on every side of the dome. "Texas... an All Might homage? Disgusting."
"Huh? Like, I can't see a thing~? Where did big daddy flames go?" The affected civilians around Endeavor mused. Perhaps their eyesight wasn't as trained as his was. He took the chance to leap in a burst of flames towards the dome, lamenting how focused his flames had to be in order to grant him the mobility needed to ascend so fast and high - he was getting closer to overheating than he would usually prefer after reaching the top.
True to what his senses told him, the dark purple smoke was accompanied by some solid tentacles glowing a tenuous green. The villain's Quirk? An unintended interaction between Quirks...? Just what was-
Endeavor held on tight as the dome rumbled, fragments of its material breaking off inwardly. Something was coming. True enough, as the rumbling grew to its climax, the #2 Hero witnessed what no other hero could that day.
Midoriya Izuku, All Might's trainee, leapt out of the dome with an **** Todoroki Shouko tied to his back, a vast multitude of dark green tentacles emerging and extending from his body. The smoke was also pouring out of his skin - he had to use his flames to clear it out in a small radius around him by heating and expanding the air, and even then, he could barely see just what was going on... Well, except for one thing. Whatever that kid was doing up there... those metallic clangs could only mean one thing.
He was beating the fuck out of that villain.
"...eavor? Endeavor? Come in, Endeavor!" His comms system blared to life. The EMP technology had likely been destroyed, or the Quirk user defeated. Or maybe, this smoke was interfering with it somehow. "We lost track of everyone with that blanket of smoke! How do you even produce this much?! Anyway, we received an urgent call from UA's Class 1B. Please head over to the surveillance rooms!"
"... Copy that. I'm going in." He spared one last look at Izuku's blurry, obscured shape, vaguely noticing how he seemed to fly while tethered to the villain's body with his tentacles, hitting it each time he moved into them. "I'm leaving Shouko in your hands, Midoriya Izuku. Do not disappoint me."
When Endeavor got to the surveillance room's corridor, he scoffed at the sight of All Might gasping for breath. He had apparently just gotten there himself. "So, what's the status of the students, American?"
"...shit. Shit! I was too slow..." He grasped at his side. Maybe a wound he suffered getting here? Strange. The man always seemed so invulnerable.
A feminine voice could be heard from within the room. "It's okay, All Might... they're gone now. We just need to figure out what to do about them. They're... not responsive."
This Sports Festival would be a day for history books to come.
So... what happened?
