When Summer disappeared, no one spoke for a few moments until Mike broke the silence.

"I think we should all go to the Petting Zoo. It could do you all some good," he said. Went over to Bri and took her hand. Out of everyone, she seemed to be the most shaken.

"Good idea babe. Right everyone," said Gabby. Gwen, Ashley, Alex and Lucy nodded before they started to leave. However, May grabbed Alex by the wrist.

"We'll join you in a minute," she said before dragging a very confused Alex away. Gwen was about to questioned, but Mike shook his head. Instead, they made their way to the zoo with Penny silently following behind.

Once May had brought Alex far enough away, she let go.

"May, what's going on?" May jumped into Alex's arms and buried her face into her neck, nearly toppling Alex over.

"Woah, what's wrong?" asked Alex. May squeezed her harder and Alex felt some tears falling on her neck.

"I can't hold it together any longer," said May, her knees giving out. Alex gently brought them to their knees as May began to sob. Instead of saying anything, she just held her and let her cry.

After a while, May stopped crying and pulled back.

"Thanks," she said before kissing Alex's cheek.

"Don't mention it," she Alex. May hugged her again, this time resting her head on her shoulder.

"My other self, she was what I would have turned into. I couldn't bare the sight of her," she said with a shakey breath.

"I'm hear for you, we're all hear for you. Don't let things eat away at you like this," said Alex. But May shook her head and pulled away.

"If you're suggesting that I should have said something earlier, you're wrong. Mike is the type of person to shoulder everyone's burden, and try to help everyone. But he's just one guy. I don't blame you all for how you acted after the challenge, no one can. But I couldn't let him shoulder my burden either. Not when he has everyone else to worry about," she said. Alex sat and thought back to Mike, who was desperately trying to keep everyone together in the wake of their trauma.

"You're right. You can see it in his eyes, he's going to try to fix everyone. We're all damaged, but we need to come together if we're to be repaired, not just rely on him," she said. There was another silence, the two of them just sitting there, until May spoke.

"Alex, I've been doing a lot of thinking. For a long time, I've been alone. But now that I have you, something feels different. I don't know if it's love yet, or what it is. But I want to see where this goes. So, will you be my girlfriend?" Alex felt tears welling up in her eyes.

"I used to be a terrible person. I bullied Mike for no reason. But I'm better now, and not just because of my transformations. It's also because of you. You've made me better. You've help make me who I'm supposed to be. So yes, I would love to be your girlfriend."
