In the meantime, Gary asks Sakura a question

Gary found himself thinking about Mei and their adventures through class. His regular 1980s life lost its sparkle without the time-travelling nude girl from the year 2080 in the same room. Too distracted to study, he cut class early and went back to his room.

He powered up his Apple IIe computer, and was surprised when instead of the low-res green type he saw a nude fairy dance across his screen in high definition. He had forgotten that Mei had upgraded his computer with impossible future technology.

"Hi Gary!" the fairy waved and giggled. "It's me, Sakura, your nude AI assistant. How can I serve you?"

Gary sighed. He only had one thing on his mind. "Sakura, I think I'm falling for Mei. Do you think she might like me too?"

Sakura twirled and bounced as she thought. "I think Mei likes you, silly Gary. You should be honest and tell her how you feel! In the future, you humans invent something called affirmative consent which means you should ask gladly!"

"Wow," Gary said. "But doesn't she have to go back to her time soon?"

"Nothing is impossible when you talk through your problems, Gary!" Sakura laughed, kissed the screen where his nose would be, and disappeared in a shower of fairy dust.
