In the Shadows

"Uhh, Hecate?" Ariel said turning away, "Could we perhaps get you something to wear..." he said nervously.

Hecate looked down at her body as she shifted on the throne. She reached down and squeezed her breasts, rubbing them together. "Ariel my dear, why would I hide something that you so clearly enjoy. You are free to enjoy my body as much as I am, so come now, there's no need to look away."

"I-I-I." Ariel can barely stammer out a word as he buries his face in his hands, though he does continue to peek at Hecate. A moment later and the door swings open and a bloody half-orc woman comes charging in, causing Ariel to fly off behind the throne in fright.

Hecate stops her fun and watches intently. As the woman seems to be calming down from a rage. two others quickly follow behind an invisible dwarf and a sneaky man who both think they can go unseen. Another man, no, an elf with flowing golden hair down to his waist follows behind.

They all look over the grand hall, entranced by the size and grandeur. The elf is the first to spot the throne and the form of Hecate. He stands there with a mixture of awe and shock, and... a smirk? It takes a few moments for the others to spot her. The orc and elf begin walking towards the throne as the other two sneak around the sides.

Hecate stands and *looks* at all four of them briefly. The four stop, three of them ready to fight. Hecate licks her lips "Mikandar, half-orc barbarian and exile from the Emerald Horde, you do interest me, in more ways than one." Hecate's enchanting voice freezes all of them for a moment. "Kengeki, assassin for hire and former member of the Red Serpent house. A killer through and through, I like you." These words seem to startle him as he stumbles from the darkness, his friends seem to also be surprised. "Verbin, Dwarven spellcaster of Clan Lunarune. A master of magic and a wise teacher, you will be very useful." Verbin's invisibility dissipates as all three of them gather, casting glances at each other who are all very clearly shaken.

Hecate leans forward, nearly bowing as she looks toward the elf. "Ailmon Zindove, I am what you seek. Your gift is acceptable and I welcome you as a guest to my home. I have much I wish to speak about." This causes the three to turn and look at the now kneeling elf.

"We've been betrayed!" Shouts Verbin. Kengeki and he get back to back as Mik charges Ailmon as they both try calling her back. Hecate runs forward, despite her size she appears to the others as a blur. She rushes past the two men and grabs Mik by her hair and rushes past Ailmon who remained kneeling.

They all hear a 'CRASH!' as they now see Mik against the wall with a crater in it. Hecate stands there holding her by her head, "Submit brave warrior, and I promise you vengeance... If you pledge yourself to me." Hecate released her, causing her to fall to the ground. She barely managed to push herself onto her hands and knees as she began coughing up blood.

"I... will... kill... them..." She takes a deep breath, "I submit" She says with a ragged breath before collapsing and falling ****. Hecate looked at herself, now realizing her true power. She clenched her fist and turned, only to see a dagger in her face. She's only able to move enough that it misses her eye. Regardless, it seems to bounce off her face, though she can feel a small scratch on her cheek.

Followed by the dagger was Kengeki, his sword ablaze. He moved faster than any man should be able to but Hecate could see everything. She charged him and the moment she touched him, 'Paralyze' Kengeki hit the ground hard as his limp body bounced to a stop. His sword had luckily flown away instead of hurting him. She walked up to his body, his eyes wide open but unable to move. She knelt and placed her hand on his chest and spoke, "You seek riches and power, I can give it all to you and so much more." 'Sleep'. He fell **** as she stood back up, staring at the lone dwarf.

"You targeted the wrong people first Devil. You may be powerful but so am I." Hecate felt a searing heat enter her side in a flash of pain. She looked and saw Kengeki's blade moving on its own. "CLEANSING FIRE" A burst of flame emitted from the blade. As the fire entered her wound, the pain... the familiar burning. Something erupted inside her.

As Hecate screamed, not from the pain but the memories. She began walking toward Verbin despite fire spewing from her body as it slowly began burning it. "How... dare... you." Hecate grabbed the blade, pulling it from her side leaving a searing wound. With a wave of anger and pain, Hecate screamed as the fire was completely consumed by her body disappearing from view.

The burning fire was visibly glowing through her skin as she stepped up to Verbin. She stood nearly three times larger than the dwarf as she took a deep breath causing the fire to stir even more. She then released a stream of fire from her breath onto him. Verbin could barely deflect the fire as he stumbled backward, terrified of what he was witnessing.

"Impossible, that-that's Impossible." Verbin begins panting from the heat, his magic only protecting him from the flames, "How are you alive? Cleansing Flame doesn't stop burning until you turn to ash. So why won't you DIE!" Hecate ended the fire and brought down a stomp, breaking his barrier with a deafening boom. Verbin stood for only a few seconds before succumbing to his exhaustion.

Hecate stood over the **** dwarf, the fire still burning within her. "You truly are the next Lord of Darkness." Hecate turned to Ailmon as he spoke. She took a step toward him before it all went dark.
