In the Creel House

With a jolt, she was standing in a dusty, abandoned house. Crooked, broken steps arched through the dark corridors and El saw three figures slowly creeping up with them. One of them turned around, their torch illuminating the walls of the house, and El gasped as she saw the thick, greasy tentacles which covered almost every inch of the midnight mansion.

This was not just an abandoned house in Hawkins. This was in the Upside-Down.

As well as the nest of tendrils, the torch-light also lit the faces of the three people who had found their way into an alternate dimension: Robin Buckley, Nancy Wheeler and Steve.

“Shit,” El found herself cursing out loud, vaguely hearing the concerned voices of the others back in Surfer Dude. Nancy, Steve, and Robin were the oldest in the group, but if they had been trapped in the Upside Down then some of the others could have been too.

Max, Dustin, Lucas – they could all already be in the clutches of the Mind Flayer.

At once, she was pulled into someone else’s mind. Red mist surrounded her, lit by a hellish glow from somewhere either far up into the sky or deep beneath the ground. Giant constructions built from bricks and debris spiralled in the air, while burned and wizened trees protruded from the ground.

Max was standing at the centre of the spectacle, in the eye of the storm. And she was not alone.

A giant, pale monster loomed above the ginger teen. It was humanoid, which made its naked state all the more disturbing: despite herself, El found herself glancing down and seeing its gargantuan, veiny cock hanging loose beneath it.

Its skull-like head was bald and shiny, while black, oozing tentacles wound through holes in its neck and body. One hand looked just like a human’s, while the other was a giant, monstrous claw.

And that giant talon was even now reaching out for Max. For El’s best friend.
