Chapter 12 by Zeebop Zeebop

Where and how does Sue Storm wake up?

In the Baxter Building, Alone and Sore

The alarm blared like the scream of an angry God that demanded sacrifice.

A hand waved beneath the covers and a wall of invisible **** slammed into the shrieking device, that hit the far wall and exploded into a thousand slivers of plastic. Yet it was too late. It had done its job.

With great effort, the Invisible Woman lifted her head from the pillow.

Sue Storm had been hungover a few times in her life. Mostly in college, which was when she experimented with ****. Consciousness came back to her with a dull throb in her head, a terrible taste in her mouth. The light through the curtains made her wince. Being awake was a terrible thing. With it came other sensations.

She slithered out of bed, legs weak and shaky as a newborn foal. Something sticky ran down her thighs, and a terrible smell filled the room. Her bladder seemed to pulse. Sue staggered forward toward the bathroom, and her stomach lurched as she approached the toilet, fresh bile in the back of her throat. Both ends of her felt ready to explode.

And ultimately, she used both. Messy. Violently. Agonizingly over long minutes, followed by explosive bursts as her stomach and intestines voided themselves.

Sue was naked and seated on the toilet, the door to the bathroom still open, when H.E.R.B.I.E. floated in with a thermos of some clear green liquid. The naked heroine took it without question and sucked on the straw. It was like liquid grass as it flowed down her throat. yet it was cool, and wet, and fragile as she felt at the moment, Sue wasn't sure she could handle anything else.

"How do you feel?" H.E.R.B.I.E. prompted after she finished the thermos and handed it back to him.

The heroine flushed and stood up. She eyed the shower. The inside of her head still felt like it was stuffed with cotton wool, but the ache had died down a little.

"A little better," she said, and stepped into the shower.

The hot water brought Sue back to herself. She checked her body over. There were a few new bruises she didn't remember on her legs. The wound on her thigh was an ugly yellow, and extremely sore, but surprisingly wasn't bleeding or oozing. Sue frowned as she noticed blue bruises, fresh and achey, on her breasts.

She couldn't remember how that happened. Couldn't remember anything after she had emptied the bottle. Sue had heard of a blackout drunk, but never experienced one. The hole in her memory, the absence, was a new and frightening experience to her. Lost time. She shuddered as she stepped out of the shower and dried herself.

"H.E.R.B.I.E.," she said, as she wrapped the Fantastic Four-branded towel about her breasts. "I need the security footage from last night. When did I get in? What happened? Bring it up at the security console, I'll—"

Sue's phone rang angrily.

"—I'll be there in a minute," she finished.

The Invisible Woman stepped over to the phone. There were dozens of messages, but the most recent one was from Janet van Dyne. The blonde read it and her eyes widened in sudden horror.

JVD: OMG SUE WHAT DID YOU DO LAST NIGHT, IT'S ALL OVER THE INTERNET!

There was a picture attached to the message. Sue's heart sank into her gut as she clicked on the picture to enlarge it, and stared at the photo evidence that was, even now, trending on social media all over the world.
