Chapter 4 by Zendle Zendle

Where does Jack spent his day?

In Town

(Chapter originally by Teraton)

As he clambered out of bed, Jack looked out the window. It was the same sight as always, illuminated by the same early light. His job demanded that he get up rather early... but where does he work?

The Farm is the simplest, most peasanty job for a peasant to have. Not very exciting, and very stuck in routine, Jack can at least take solace in one thing- the Forest. With the farm he works on the outskirts of town, its right next to the thick trees that form the west border of the village. Meaning, of course, that if any oddity makes its way out from the Forest into the village, he'll be the first to get a good look at it. Of course, that usually meant he was the first to have to deal with it as well...

On the other hand, the Inn was a good source of things to sate his curiosity of the outside world- traveling merchants, foreigners, even the occasional adventurer: all were endless fonts of knowledge about things Jack had never even heard of! Of course, foreigners could often bring strange customs, merchants could bring objects and relics that were more trouble than they were worth and adventurers could, well.... Adventurers could be very rowdy after a few drinks, and as the one usually bringing those drinks, Jack sometimes caught the brunt of that rowdiness.

Or perhaps some other facet of village life could be made more exciting for Jack today?

What is Jack doing today?
