Well, if this is already complex, then it would probably be too complex if I had given it to her as it was. I select yes.

First "QuestLife: You have a new quest!!!" I am turning that one off. Wait, that was the reason. Why is that app there? I feel like I used to know. I must have downloaded it myself as a motivational tool, or for goofs and gaffs. What was my last quest? I will check in a moment.

Next is a message from Pieter. Damm, the stupid app did it. Pieter never offers to cook for someone else. Fun aye... Well, knowing the dense guy he is, he means games or a movie, not bedtime fun. I'd better look at it now to see what the quest is. Will it grant me another night with the dense idiot I fell in love with?

I don't know how or why, but it seems doable. Set a timer so I can drink on time, have a bottle ready to drink my own piss. At least I don't have to rely on someone else. That perk sounds like I might be able to hold my piss until I can go to the toilet, and piss on command? Seems like a cool perk.

Wait, I gained a perk point, whatever that is. I have not got a place to spend it, however. Maybe they just increase the likelihood of perks? Or maybe the perk tree will unlock at a later level?

I leave for work.

As I enter my first meeting, I finish my first litre. After listening to drone on about magnetic field issues, for what feels like the entire morning, but in reality it's 30 minutes. I rush to the toilet and piss in the bottle as best I can. My panties are soaked.... FACK FACK FACK. I scream into my arm out of frustration. Do I gamble on wearing my piss covered underwear or just put them in a bag? And do I rinse them beforehand? Why dumb quest? WHY? What has happened has happened.

I can't change it. After work, I need to take the train to Helmond to pick up my car. Why did I get drunk and let Pieter drive me home? I know he did it for safety, but.... At 6 pm, my phone buzzes. I quickly check "Roos completed the quest". I still have an hour before I am done for today. Let's lock in and finish this.

My boss Jessica comes over at the end of my shift. "Did you have any issues with anyone?"

"Nope. Maybe a bit short on the vegetarian and chicken dishes, but otherwise, we know roughly what the people want. Unless they start hiring fewer people from Muslim or Hindu countries, it would be smart to ramp up those dishes. They are cheap anyway."

"That is racist."

"No, it isn't, it is taking those religions' dietary restrictions into account. It is always safe to eat vegetarian food. As long as it doesn't come into contact with food that is forbidden or is wrongly prepared. We have a halal chicken dish which doesn't contain beef. So that is safe for both those religions as well. And if they keep hiring people from India and Pakistan, for example, more people can't eat beef without a halal label and people who don't eat pork."

She squints and moves away "Sure...."

I mentally roll my eyes. She should think more about why someone might say something. Instead of religion being mentioned as a reason therefore bad. I hate that knee-jerk.
