Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery

Kumiko had a bit of luck. The hallways were empty right now, safe for the occasional student who passed her by. She could only respond with a smile on a face so red, it was a perfect match for her hat and boots. While she was glad that she was almost back to the restroom, it still bothered her that she never found out what happened to her shirt and skirt. While they may not be as important as the rest of her costume, it irked her that this might mean that someone now knew who she is. Kumiko knew she’ll have to look into this later.

She was at the restroom entrance, when she noticed three girls bullying a smaller girl.

“Ugh, bullies.” Kumiko spoke with disgust. “No better than the villains I usually fight.” She was about to intervene, when suddenly…

“Don’t fear, Sayuri! Magical Girl Kumiko is here!” Another girl showed up, striking a similar pose Kumiko likes to make.

“Wait a minute,” spoke a surprised Kumiko, “that shirt, that skirt. Those are mine! How did she get them, and what is she doing?”

“Oh my gosh,” laughed on of the bullies, “little Tenko is playing make believe. Aren’t you already eighteen?”

The bullied Sayuri spoke up to her friend, “I know you’re a big fan of Magical Girl Kumiko, but you’ll get hurt if you save me. I’ll be fine, just go!”

‘Magical Girl Kumiko’ simply laughed. “I’ll never run, for I am Magical Girl Kumiko, Guardian of Justice, Keep-“ She couldn’t even finish her sentence, or one of the bullies pushed her against the wall.

“Very cute. If you want to stick up for your friend, fine. Now you’ll both be in trouble!”

“I can’t let this continue. It's time for the real deal.”
